Sunshine Kitchen

This place used to be great. The poke bowls are delicious and good quality, but in the last year, the bowls have consistently gotten smaller and smaller in size. Now they are barely half a bowl with sprinkles of ingredients on top. This place is no longer worth the price for such a small amount of food.

This place and Go Go Japan Sushi are my top 2 in Oside for sushi/Japanese food. The lunch specials are great and dirt cheap, the rolls are delicious and always fresh, the staff and service are always A+. This place has a great location at a strip mall right off the 5, close to the beach.

Skip those lame downtown MEGAOVERPRICED Oside sushi spots and head straight to Sunshine Kitchen.

The BEST sushi I have ever had. Their quality is phenomenal, and the combinations they’ve created are unlike any other. Flavors that you would never imagine putting together blend to create a sensation of perfection on the palate.

Went here on a whim with a friend--we split three sushi rolls: Rainbow, Spider, and Oceanside. The Rainbow roll was the best with Oceanside in close second. I was not a fan of the spider roll but my friend liked it so to each their own. It was about $50 total for the two of us so pretty reasonably priced for sushi. Staff was friendly.

Food was amazing!! Customer service was the best, would definitely come again. Came from far to visit this place and me and my family of 11 had a great time. Reasonable price and sushi rolls were pretty big. We even got to take food home since there were big portions. LOVED IT!!!
