As I stepped into the restaurant for the first time, I was instantly greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mika, the friendly host, welcomed me with a bright smile that made me feel right at home. Her accommodating nature and eagerness to help were evident as she recommended the Popcorn Chicken. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! The dish was a delightful explosion of flavors, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Each bite was a treat, making my lunch not just a meal, but a memorable experience. I left feeling satisfied.

I got the kimchi dumpling hot pot, and while it was delicious it was missing ingredients listed on the menu. Mainly the egg, sausage, and enoki mushroom were missing and a large piece of tripe was added instead. Considering I was the only customer they had I find this quite annoying especially since I was very excited to try this place. But, the flavour of the broth and medley of other proteins were good enough that I would try them again.

Oceanside California now has a great Taiwanese Hotpot Spot named Tasty Pot Oceanside. I was able to check them out and now I can say that I've thoroughly enjoyed delicious hotpot!
Tasty Pot Oceanside is a brand that is already established north of Oceanside and throughout the Riverside area. They have a formula that has been working for them and it shows.
Tasty Pot Oceanside is located off of Mission Ave., just west of the 5 Hwy, and within the Walmart Shopping Center.
My first observation is that parking may be a little difficult, especially when the shared lot gets crowded. I'm just glad that, to my experience, the timed-restricted parking spaces aren't really enforced. I was able to park up for 2.5 hours for dinner.
The interior decor is really simple , trendy & cute. It definitely leans into casual dining, so no need to get dressed up. It's spacious enough and great for group seating and family dinners.
The music was trendy and upbeat and the lighting is bright.
The service is excellent, fast and friendly.
I love their selection of Japanese Soju flavors & they have a solid % content to boot; try lychee! In addition, they also carry Premium Lager.
For appetizers, I had their Chicken Cartilage and it was excellent! It's crispy with that salty pepper finish. I also ordered the Fermented Tofu (aka Stinky Tofu). I loved both of these dishes. Dinner was a medley of: 1 cheese hot pot 2 lamb hot pot 3 Veggie Hot Pot 4 curry hot pot And they were all divine!
I admittedly didn't think much of the veggie, but I believe that all the delicious flavors from the others outshined in this parade; but I am definitely glad they have it as an option.
What I REALLY love about Tasty Pot Oceanside is that they have discounts for students, teachers AND our military! But please keep in mind their business hours. They open early, but then closed for lunch and then re-open for dinner. Consider calling to confirm they are opened if just swinging through.
Overall, I love Tasty Pot Oceanside as an addition of diversification to our city's eclectic dining options.

Wow! Just a glorious experience... Cathy was amazing!! Don't order to pick up. You must go in, sit down and enjoy. We typically go in. However, I ordered online this time. I ordered incorrectly. Call up Cathy. She invited us back in and made me what I wanted and didn't charge me, even though it was my fault. The food while dining in is so much better and the ambiance is awesome... Such great hospitality! Excellent food Go git it. Yum! Tasty

Ordered lobster seafood hot soup and all the clams shrimp mussels and lobster in it were way too overcooked. The taro root tasted sour. And in the picture on their menu the extra meat you can order is raw so you can cook it yourself but it came out cooked and like everything else was over cooked. Ordered a hot tea and the server said the tea is really strong I wish she was honest and just said it tasted bad. Either old leaves or dirty pot either way strong tea is different than bad tea. Food was all bad.

We visited Alta Vista Botanical Garden and stopped by Tasty Pot Oceanside for lunch. We had the kimchi dumpling hot soup which came with a free green ice tea as a lunch special. I had the beef sizzling pot. The torpedo shrimp were a bonus for a review but they were actually delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall food was filling and flavorful!
The service was excellent! Since this was our first time here, the server guided us through the different sauces and how to combine then for the optimal flavor. She was also friendly and attentive.
Had a great experience here as usual. Food and service were excellent. Our wait staff Majka is really good. She is fun to talk to as well. I hope she's here when we come back!

Amazing experience today at a restaurant and i just got finished at the dmv. I wanted to treat myself to an amazing hot pot. So here i am at Tasty Pot Oceanside and the food is exceptionally delicious. Quality ingredients and the staff are warm and welcoming. Be patient if it’s ever busy or even come on happy hour for some deals. Enjoy! And your tastebuds will thank you
