From my first experience, eating at this restaurant and having Paula serve me, she made great recommendations including sauces as well as food. I love the experience the manager/owner, Jen made me feel like family. I’ve gone out of my way to come back over five times in the last two weeks excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and excellent prices! I highly recommend!

HIDDEN GEM! I was so happily surprised by my experience there! I ordered the lamb hot pot and a variety of appetizers. The portions were generous, and reasonably priced. Everything was super tasty, but the show stealer had to be the homemade kimchi!! The owners mom makes it fresh and let’s just say it beats anything you could get at the store. Shockingly, there was no wait, and the food came out super quickly. Gotta say the ultimate highlight was the outstanding service though! The owner and whole staff were incredibly attentive and made the meal a really great time!! I cannot recommend this place enough!!

My wife and I adore Tasty Pot!! It is one of our top local choices and it is the top local Asian food choice for us. It is small, but they make great use of space to accommodate many customers. It is clean and has a modern look, they even have a small photo area with wings, lights, and decor for the kids to get trendy social media photo ops. Seating seems small but it is plenty for average sized people. They have always greeted us with a smile since our first visit and we have become regulars. We have tried many items on the menu and our personal favorites are the pork dumplings, fried shrimp torpedo rolls, large shrimp, and the best bowl for us is the beef hot soup. And they willwill tailor the level of spicy to your liking! We like our food very spicy but we stick with medium here because hot with have you sweating and nose dripping haha! Everything is always very clean and ready for use on the table. The oils are a great addition to perk up your rice, appetizers, or bowls. The bowls come stove hot and fresh but we turn on the burner and get it boiling and keep it hot. They have a nice selection of Asian beers and will give you a cold glass. The sake is great and will get you lit quick, so be careful! They are very generous all around, service is amazing, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We love Tasty Pot and the staff and we look forward to every single visit! Do not hesitate to go!
Stumbled upon this little gem by chance. There was only another customer. I had the lamb hotpot, very tasty, and few appetisers, only $2 during happy hour. Definitely be back

The sizzling beef rice plate is PERFECTION. Extremely tender, marinated beef slices sizzle around a mound of fresh rice topped with sweet soy sauce and garlic butter. It’s a very hearty portion for one. Had it with a glass of delicious sweet iced tea, and a side of quail eggs that only made the dish even tastier. I live in South Bay, but I’d come up to Oceanside just to eat this!

We LOVE this place and have made it a mission to go once a week and try all of their offerings. The seafood & curry hotpots are our favorites so far. We also order tendon and udon noodles with them. As appetizers we HIGHLY recommend the basil popcorn chicken & firecracker shrimp ? !
