The cook and cashier were both interactive, engaging, and made a genuine connection with their customer. They both were extremely kind and welcoming. I would come back just for their service alone.I ordered the basic cheesesteak with old school whiz, onions, and sweet peppers. Reminded me of my work trips to Philly. The bread was perfect. Had a good chewy pull to it a slide crust on the outside, but soft and pliable on the inside. It was packed full and overflowing with savory chopped steak, which had well along with the saltiness of the cheese whiz, the slight bite of the grilled onions, and then topped with the sweet, but mild spice of the peppers. Great sandwich!!

This is a diamond in the rough! People need to know how amazing the food is here! The Stoner Burger is the best burger I've ever had in my life. No exaggerations. Everything in the restaurant is high quality and fresh. Highly recommend this place as a casual normal spot.

Wow, what a spectacular find in Oceanside. We are vacationing here and this popped up on Google maps. After reading the reviews we had to try it, and it did not disappoint. They only have one size now, and my wife and I split a "The Works" cheese steak and a small order of Frings (fries and rings). Sub was piles of hot delicious steak, pepper, mushroom and cheese. Super hot, even when I was 3/4 done. Nice people and we met the owner and he was a great guy. Don't pass this place up!

Since the new owner took over, the food and general appearance has gone down, bigtime. They changed their rolls, cut the portion size way down while upping prices, took out the pickle/pepper bar, and I dont know what they did to their garlic fries but awful is the only word to describe, left such a horrible taste in my mouth. So disappointed...

You would think this is a chain but as far as I can tell it is not. I live in LA and let me tell you I do not eat cheesesteaks often. They are hard to find and often not good. The chain places are often abysmal. This spot is the exception. Their cheese steaks are exceptional. Just about perfect. I’ve been three or four times now. Every time the cheesesteak has been on point! Garlic waffle fries ? Also don’t miss the Italian sub. Can’t wait to go back to try their chicken parm sando. I should also mention my sister who is GF had an awesome GF and dairy free cheesesteak “bowl” she said she loved it.Dietary restrictions: My sister loved her gluten and dairy free bowl. And they were very flexible about what ingredients she chose or needed to avoid.

Honestly pretty underwhelmed. $19 after tip for meat cheese and onions on a bun.. service wasn't even good. It was like speaking to a wall, no appreciation at all. No sort of ambiance. Cant believe I got charged almost $20 to leave lunch feeling so disappointed. I've had better experiences spending $5 at McDonald's. Idk just really trying to consider value nowadays and if you're gonna spend $20 you might as well go somewhere else. Food was hot and edible, that's a plus. But absolutely better Phillies out there for less, too.
