I really do love this place but if you order anything other than pizza, just know your food will be lacking. I've been here several times now and ordered various apps (olives & goat cheese, Brussels sprouts, artichoke toast) and dinner items (pizza, burgers, and tacos) and every single non-pizza item has missed the mark. Their pizza, however, is PERFECT.

I like the applewood fire pizzas- the crusts are delicious!! The lemon ricotta and the margherita pizzas are my favorites. The poached pear arugula salad is also nice and refreshing. I've only ever ordered to go here but it's a cute joint and the food is really good.

I love this place, tied with Allmine for my favorite pizza in Oceanside. If you want a more casual vibe, go Privateer. More upscale/date night, go Allmine. The Brixton pie is so delicious, sometimes I daydream about it. Service always prompt and friendly. They also have a chocolate tart dessert that is very good. It used to be topped with a blackberry sauce but they switched to cranberry unfortunately, which I think was a mistake, but it's still very good. My only issue is I once placed delivery for several pizzas and the chocolate tart and only received a single pizza - it appears someone else with my first name placed a similar order and the driver grabbed the wrong bag since they were both only labelled 'Lisa'. Mostly not Privateer's fault, although they may want to put a procedure in place to avoid having carryout or delivery orders mixed up for customers of the same name. The delivery service refunded me the cost of the food items but not the delivery fee or the tip (which was 25% on the original, quite large, bill). Like I said, mostly an error on the delivery side but the carryout and delivery area in the restaurant can get a bit hectic. Overall still love this place and while I won't order delivery any more I'm always happy to dine in.

My entire party was served their food. My food had not come out yet. As my party is almost done the manager comes to tell me “we JUST ran out of Vegan Mozzarella”. So I waited through my entire party eating and you did not know you were out when I put the order in? Fact is I heard the entire conversation between the line cook and the manager. It was not “just” running out that happened. Wont return due to terrible service and lack of accountability.

In town for work and was craving an eclectic pizza. Fortunately for me, I turned to Reddit and saw this restaurant recommended to me. I sat at the bar, was treated with fantastic service, and ate some incredible pizza. The menu had tons of food and drink selection. I will absolutely come back here… maybe tomorrow! Fantastic

I was looking for a vegan pizza in the area and found a good one! I had the OKC pie. I love that they make their own cashew cheese and sunrizo sausage made with sunflower seeds I believe. They also used a sweet potato sauce which was amazing!
