Need reservations for the back, it’s a cute speakeasy but so cramped. Drinks are good but the vibes up front with the games are where it’s at

Fun little outer space themed speakeasy with great service and friendly staff. My only gripe is the price of the drinks. My wife & I had 4 drinks that came out to almost $80 along with a tip that’s a close to a hundo right there for a few drinks. Fun experience though..

Came to Oceanside to check out The Space Pad. This place is cool as hell, bartenders are awesome. Drinks were awesome. It is a speakeasy so please be aware that they open in the late afternoon/evening. If you’re in the area it is a must you stop by for few drinks. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Space Pad is an exceptional venue that effortlessly blends a futuristic atmosphere with a cozy, welcoming vibe. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by sleek, modern decor and ambient lighting that sets the mood for an unforgettable evening. The highlight of any visit, however, is undoubtedly their craft cocktail menu. Each drink is a masterpiece, thoughtfully crafted by skilled mixologists who have a knack for balancing flavors.

I had the pleasure of trying the “Galactic Mule,” a creative twist on the classic Moscow Mule, featuring house-infused ginger vodka and a hint of fresh lime, served in a shimmering copper mug. It was refreshingly zesty with just the right amount of spice. Another standout was the “Cosmic Berry Bliss,” a vibrant mix of seasonal berries, vodka, and a splash of sparkling soda, perfect for those who enjoy a fruity concoction.

The attentive staff truly elevate the experience, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring your glass is never empty. Whether you're there for a casual night out or a special celebration, Space Pad's unique cocktails and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for cocktail lovers. Don’t miss this stellar spot—your taste buds will thank you!

Bartender was wonderful during our visit. The drinks were amazing as well! I love the atmosphere of this speakeasy.

We got the beam me up (pineapple with the light) & cosmic coil. Both drinks were super good.

Def will visit again in the future during the next visit in this area.

This AMAZING Oceanside gem is located in the back of Kilowatt bar. I recommend a reservation but they were able to accommodate 3 of us at the bar with ease. The drinks were fire! Great atmosphere and fun ambiance.

Cool vibe, but the drinks were over sweet and ungodly expensive at $18 for most cocktails on the menu. More importantly we sat at the bar and all of the jiggers in view had a weird layer of scum built up in them. Totally grossed me out.

The bartender and drinks were AMAZING! It was my husband's birthday and he really went out of his way to make my husband feel special. It was a fun place to hang out for a couple of hours. The nachos were good but the drinks were the star of the show -- as they should be. We will go back.

The drinks are super cool. but the bartender is very rude. I havent had an issues with any of the other bartenders other than the one with dreads she was extremely disrespectful towards me and my boyfriend. idk but the vibe is cool an the drinks are cool too

An interesting place to go once. Not very spontaneous tho due to having to make a reservation just for drinks and apps. Drinks were average mixology wise. We ordered a Mai Tai and Smoked Old Fashioned (both $18 each). The Spaceman Sour someone else ordered looks fab with all the bubbles. Appetizer was bigger than expected and good (Pork Kahlua Nachos) $18. Service was average. We sat at the bar as the tables for two (3 total) were tiny. The two booths were for larger groups of 4-6 but looked comfy. Overall it was OK. The tab for 2 drinks & an app was $62 before tip so rather pricey though not terribly out of line for surrounding bars. However most of the other bars (some also offer food items) have Happy Hour deals and that cut our tabs in half at the two previous places we visited prior to The Space Pad. Also if you're hungry most the food items are more appetizer size so you may need to order a couple of them. They're priced $10-$18 Oh and the space is very well air conditioned, which was good considering how small it is inside.

The decoration is nice, but it’s way too small. But what bothered me the most was bad drinks. The drinks are way too overpriced and had no taste. I felt like it had a splash of liquor and just ice and water.
I guess in a place like this you’re paying to see the different decoration and not to have good drinks.

Don't know if they were short staffed but no one greeted us. We were confused at first, we didn't know to go in or wait outside. Once the bartender greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. He told us to a find a table or we could sit at the bar. There was one other party there, so we waited. As we waited more people came in sat down and left. No one greeted them. We were about to leave before the bartender finally took our order. I was hungry but because of the service I didn't order food. The drinks were ok, nothing special. The light shows and decorations were cool but that's about it. I wouldn't go back.
