Our neighbors told us about this place and WOW SO GOOD!! My husband and I went to The Turmeric Hut and were absolutely blown away! We had the chicken tikka masala, pakoda, and a cold beer, and every bite felt so fresh and flavorful. The garlic cilantro naan was perfectly soft.
What really made it special was how everything tasted homemade and vibrant, not heavy or overly spiced. Such a gem in Oceanside. We can't wait to go back!

Turmeric Hut is a true gem in Oceanside — the food is fresh, flavorful, and authentically spiced, with plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat-lovers. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff make you feel genuinely welcome with their attentive, friendly service. Whether you’re dining in or picking up takeout, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back for both the cuisine and the hospitality.

First time and wont be the last. Had pure veg Indian dishes, and for a moment, I felt I was in Bangalore all over again. The cook-owner is from Chennai, and his dishes are authentic. Flavors of India for sure. And the masala chai, superb!

The buffet was delicious and enjoyed all the choices. Loved the garlic naan, lentil soup, pineapple chicken, yellow curry, and coconut drink. I highly recommend this place. We come whenever we are in the area. Give it a try and it is close to Mission San Luis Rey.

Look no further if you're in the area searching for Indian food. This place has the most delicious dishes I've ever had! Top tier for me is their chicken coconut curry, indian crepes, Garlic cheese naan and the hot chai. Buffets are Saturday and Sunday of unlimited food. It has that 'mom & pop shop' feeling paired with friendly staff that is on top of their service. Spice is flexible so if you're into the mild or extra spicy- they can do it all.

I trusted reviews and drove almost 22 minutes to enjoy delicious Indian food but got very disappointed
Paani poori and chhole bhature were below standard and chhole was half cooked.
Restaurant is very ordinary and prices are meant for a great restaurant
Definitely reviews are not genuine

Love coming here as the food is authentic. The chef owner customizes the dishes to my spice level while maintaining flavors. Also, I am vegan and he customizes my food to make sure they’re plant based too. And yet, everything tastes fantastic!

Delicious!! This little spot has a wide menu selection. From traditional to the surprise gems (like egg pakoda). The staff was incredibly helpful with explaining the menu and suggestions. Tip spice level 3 is perfect for that burn yet cant stop feeling. Bring your appetite. The portions are generous, with plenty to take home. I peeked a buffet option for $20. Definitely coming back for that.

As an Indian tourist visiting Oceanside with my son, we were so happy to find authentic flavors at Turmeric Hut . Portions were generous, spices just right, and the service was warm and welcoming. Even my son, who’s picky, loved every bite—especially the Dal Makhni .A must-visit for Indian families craving comfort food abroad.

Portions were plentiful, definitely sharable. Your going to want to come hungry, and you'll still leave with Togo box's. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu, she explained dishes. The Price point is mid range 3 apps, 2 beers and non alcoholic beverages and three entree for 100. Well worth it. Again with plenty of leftovers.
