Had a wonderful dining experience at Turmeric Hut! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced—every dish tasted authentic and comforting. The aroma alone sets the mood, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for delicious Indian food. Highly recommend!

Went for dinner; the food was average. The naan was soft and the butter chicken was tasty. The Pao bhai was good, Dahi Puri was average, and Sahi Paneer was bland.
That said, the entrée portions were very small. We ordered butter chicken and shahi paneer, and the quantities were barely enough for one person, not suitable for sharing. A heads-up while ordering would have been appreciated—we had to order an additional entrée after the food arrived.
We were also overcharged for the shahi paneer ($18.99 instead of the listed $15.99). When we raised it, the owner gave multiple explanations before refunding the difference, framing it as a favor rather than acknowledging the mistake.
Would not return. Average food, poor value for money, and disappointing customer service due to overbilling.

Really good vindaloo, as usual. Tried the shrimp this time, plus chicken as always. Rice was perfect. The naan was a bit soggy this time, but they usually get it just right. BTW, medium heat on the vindaloo is fairly hot, so be careful if you order something hotter.

Amazing.
Finally-authentic Indian cuisine plus personable, excellent service in North San Diego County! We enjoyed the amazing dishes with mild spice levels as requested (yes, they actually listened!) including aloo gobi, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and more! Be sure to chat with the owner. She’s terrific. We will definitely be back.

Food was so delicious. Caution with spice rating, not your average spice. I ordered the butter chicken level 5 and it was spicy and I can handle spicy!! Over all good experience. Only reason it was not a 5 is I felt it was a bit overpriced.

Feels like a mom & pop shop. The ambience is ok, service can be quicker. But the food is extraordinary. We tried panipuri, bhel, vada pau, chole puri. All of the items tasted great, prepared with lots of love and care.

I worked with Priya and Prat to cater an event for 30 people at an offsite location. They by far exceeded my expectations in all aspects! They accommodated dietary restrictions for my group, and suggested reasonable quantities to order with good variety via text in preparation for the event. At the event they delivered the food on time and fresh and even set up the buffet line for us. They were very professional and great to work with - and the food was a big hit! I'd definitely recommend to anyone else looking to cater for groups and look forward to going in-store to try some more dishes :)

I have been visiting Turmeric Hut since its opening. The quality of their cuisine is consistently excellent, and any dish on the menu is reliably satisfying. They grind their own spices, ensuring optimal flavor and freshness. Turmeric Hut has established itself as the benchmark for Indian cuisine when compared to other establishments in the region.

We finally stopped by for the weekend buffet , and wow, what a spread! At $20 per person, it’s such a great value for the variety and freshness. There’s a beautiful balance of vegetarian and meat dishes, and everything tastes like it’s made with care.
The chai is self-serve and perfectly spiced, and it just ties the whole experience together. It’s such a fun way to sample the menu before deciding what to order for takeout next time.
Warm, flavorful, and full of color this is the kind of spot that turns “just lunch” into a little celebration
