Delicious every time. Any item on the menu is good. I do love their tacos. They are fast and affordable and tasty. Customer service always nice. The seating and location isn't great, but the food is.

Review of a Bad Experience at This Taco Shop Date: April 8, 2025
Today I went to This Taco Shop and ordered a carne asada burrito. As soon as I took the first bite, I noticed a very unpleasant and disgusting smell coming from the meat. Unfortunately, since I hadn’t eaten all day and was extremely hungry, I was forced to eat it despite the smell.
The quality of the meat was very low, the odor ruined my appetite, and it made me feel sick. It didn’t seem hygienic at all. I know places in San Diego where I can get the same burrito for a lower price, much better quality, and without any of these issues.
I will never return to this restaurant, and I highly recommend others to be cautious when choosing where to eat. Your health and satisfaction matter—look elsewhere.

I ordered a carne Asada taco and a carnetas taco and a enchilada plate and I got a carne Asada something NOT A taco, and a chicken enchiladas. I also got the enchilada plate that they got right. The sauce for the enchiladas was nasty couldn't eat it all. Bad after taste. Took my wife there for our first time and our last. I recommend that you find a different Mexican restaurant. I would put pictures of what I ordered but it won't let me add them.

I got charged $30 for carne asada fries & a soft drink. The lady didn’t give me a receipt either when I asked for it twice. My total should’ve been $18 not $30. Are you guys tipping yourselves and not telling your customers? I always get overcharged. Either fix your menu prices or stop overcharging your customers

Too pricey on the combination plates $15 for a plate with small amount of beans and rice and almost $5 for for a drink ended up paying more than $20 for one plate that is bad I don't know if his price gouging

Food is ok. We've been coming here for awhile now. it's always been a little too pricy of a restaurant. specially $5 taco. prices increased more AND the amount of food has decreased. We noticed it with the Cali fries serving. not our choice anymore

Nice little taco place close to base for you hungry Jarheads out there. They have a LOT of specialty options for tacos and burritos. My wife have been addicted lately. I appreciate the very straightforward service they provide. Wait time is not that long. Only reason why I’m giving the food a 4/5 is because my wife wasn’t a fan of the Al Pastor tacos, and I’ll agree they seemed a little tart, for lack of a better word. Otherwise, the Cali tacos, El Jefe tacos, and the Diablo tacos are wildly good. The floutas they use are really hearty as well. Get yourself a Modelo fron their fridge and appreciate the vibe!

We eat at a couple of the Valarie’s pretty regularly and have had excellent meals that’s why I posted 3 stars. Today I went in for two shredded chicken tacos a grilled fish taco and an Al pastor taco. The chicken tacos had what looked like very thinly shredded meat that was greasy and brown? The grilled fish was not fresh and the Al pastor was dry. After so many visits I guess we’re bound to have a bad one and a bad one it was. It’ll take some time to go back in.

Service was good. Food was a nightmare. I don’t even want to post a photo of the food. I ordered enchiladas de queso (cheese enchiladas) and I got enchiladas that were cold, cheese wasn’t even melted. The cheese was not good either. I do not recommend. Maybe their tacos are great but idk. I’m not going back.
