The breakfast burrito is so bad. The whole grain “tortilla” looks like old human skin, and the (assuming they’re powdered) eggs feel like rubber. I’m using “feel” because they have no taste. The line is very long, and it is very difficult to get a decent meal before lunch ends if you don’t have your ID. God help you if you have a club meeting at lunch. You are required to take a fruit or juice so a lot of food/drinks unfortunately go to waste. The only redeeming thing about it is that (most) of the lunch ladies and gentlemen are nice. Sometimes they get mad if you take too long to get your student ID though. That being said, I did throw up after eating the taquitos.
Vegetarian options: Not much other than salads for vegans/vegetarians.
Kid-friendliness: They literally serve only kids (Apart from some seniors)

Literally has give me food poisoning. It’s so bad.
Sometimes food is fire and sometimes it’s trash 3/5
What a great place. Great atmosphere, food and service. So sad to see them go! CLOSED!!! They have been bought by a pizza place. Not sure what it will be called or what they will serve.
worst food ever demised by human kind. Id rather lick the bottom of my shoe than eat the floppy pizza or deep fried pizza. + the only good food item they have is the pp&j, but there's still a twist cause they never serve those and when they do serve them, they be frozen for some reason. + the line to get to the front takes at least 20 minutes which is more than half of lunch time
Twas the night before Mother’s Day and a great night to celebrate double birthdays in the fam. Some wanted Mexican, some (me) craved French. This restaurant offers a French-Mexican fusion in Downtown Oceanside so everyone’s a winner. But first - Cocktails! Margarita ooh-La-La ($14) topped with lilikoi guava foam - yum! Tales of Culiacan ($14): roasted pineapple mezcal, rum, strawberry campari Lemon Drop Martini ($14) just coz it’s my appetizer Ordered several small plates: Pomme Frites ($7) with BOMB garlic bourbon aioli Elote Corn Fritters ($14): Oaxaca cheese, roasted corn, chili lime aioli (wasn’t my favorite) Ceviche ($14): shrimps, prickly pear, chayote, avocado & taro chips Duck Tacos ($16): didn’t like this ~ meh ~ nothing great (nothing great and overpriced) Birria Short Rib ($31): braised, herb pasta, corn, chayote Black Cod ($29): group favorite with braised leeks, roasted beets, herb chimichurri Mexican Hot Pot ($27): braised chicken, adobada broth (Filipino adobo with a mex flair?) It was just an OK dinner. We expected more from the reviews I guess? The location 3 blocks to the water in the center of revitalized Downtown Oceanside is fantastic. It was a lot more Mexican than French. We recommend the ceviche, black cod and mayyyybe the Birria short rib if the pasta wasn’t so dry. Will we return? Not sure actually. French Fusion is the new restaurant near the Oceabside Pier. This review is for brunch. We ordered the Shrimp Fritata and the Pulpo Hash both were excellant. Coffee was strong. Saddly wont recommend the Beignits as they were dense and not much like the New Orleans classic. They had many selections of cocktails and were quite busy. Service was friendly. Will retun and try their dinner menu.
You can become a rocket scientist faster than you can get to the front of the line.
Had dinner Saturday night, when ordering we where told that several items on the menu where not available, so we settle for what was. The dinner arrived 40 minutes in the meantime we had a few very weak cocktails that had hardly any alcohol in them. The food was very basic Mexican/French not sure what it was but not good at all. The donuts for desserts where biscuits from a can fried with powdered sugar. Service was horrible! I do NOT recommend this place it all. Never going back again.
Pretty nice spot near the beach. Service was solid and food was good and well prepared. Prices were moderate. Only issue would the the flies. Probably around 10 constantly on our table. Not sure if this is a constant problem.

Good atmosphere with good service. The ceviche was delish! The drinks are very different, a nutmeg taste to all 3 drinks I had.
Pretty surprised by the amount of good reviews as my experience was far from great. I planned a girls Happy Hour here - made a reservation ahead of time for 5 pm and let them know it was for Happy Hour (we saw their happy hour menu online which was advertised until 6 pm). We arrived slightly early for our reservation, around 4:50 PM and began ordering and they told us Happy Hour was ending but we might be able to get one drink in. Confused, I looked at their website and it still said 6 pm, so I let the server know and he said they recently changed it but haven't updated their website or menus. I asked him if they could honor it as we came specifically for that and I even made a reservation for Happy Hour at 5 pm and wasn't notified by the hostess staff that it would be over at that time. He said he would ask the manager and come back - which he did and the manager said no they wouldn't honor it. The manager didn't even have the decency to come over to the table and service was very spotty after. All in all, the food was average and half the group enjoyed their cocktails while others didn't. Mixed feedback on the food/drinks but for the price and lack of service along with not honoring their advertised hours, I'd definitely recommend going elsewhere.
A great outdoor dining experience. Many small plates as well as full size entrees. Some of the tables have small fire pits. Duck tacos were very good as was the burger. Friendly and efficient service.
~Patio Dining with heat lamps ~Excellent service -- attentive and polite, but not overbearing ~Located centrally in Oceanside. ~Observing Covid measures. ~Artsy interior decor. ~Inviting ambience. ~Menu is French inspired Mexican -- a little unique and different to your standard restaurants that offer the same old thing. ~We ordered 4 small plates and an entree between three of us. All food was excellent. ~We found street parking half a block a way, but parking is available for a fee in the building. ~I would come back and try indoor dining after the pandemic. A friend announced she was suddenly coming into town, so I scrambled to find somewhere in Oceanside which was equidistant between where we live and where she was staying. Being that it was almost Cinco de Mayo and her husband is French, I thought this place would be perfect. I wasn't wrong. Slightly on the pricey side and I would love to see an expanded entree menu. A great choice and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. If you found this review useful, please click the thank button.
This restaurant is beautiful! Delicious food and great cocktails! We recommend the rosemary bread, the octopus, and the pork. We were very happy we could make it here. Definitely going back!
