This place was amazing a couple of years ago. Great food and great vibe. I've been to dinner here multiple times over last couple of months and the experience has been pretty bad. The food has been okay a couple of times but the service is really bad. All the servers seem very inexperienced and inattentive. They bring the food to the table after a long wait and they never just drop the plate without a description of the food, nor do they clear any of the plates. The worst part is that they never come back to check on the table to see if we need anything or if we want to order more food. It's really to bad because this place used to be one of my favorites.

Unique flavors! One room has a really cool vibe and the other is a little plain. Server was nice. Menu changes daily so it's a great place to come back to. Rolls were around $20 each.

Solid 2.5 stars. Maybe it was a mistake ordering the omakase and should have ordered a la carte for a better selection? The rice wasn't seasoned, The service was sub par, the sushi was average at best. I really wanted to like this place and had been wanting to visit for months. Sadly, I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for good sushi.

Excellent experience with AMAZING food!! The server was awesome and helped us pick out several rolls and a few other specialty items. The sushi was so fresh and everything was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back for more! If you are looking for an upgraded sushi experience and not your typical budget sushi, this is your place!!!

I came here with my classmates from my Japanese class after hearing that one of our other peers had to go on down to work. So, after our supplementary instruction, we went on down to Wrench & Rodent. Sadly, because it's on Coast Highway, the parking situation is literally the worst. But disregarding that, my friend and I headed up to the front counter and there was a lady who was absolutely wonderful. She had a very, very pretty smile, and was so accommodating. Rest of our group arrives; everyone's pretty excited (and some with skepticism over the price) to try this food. So we're seated down by the Service Manager over there, and he's just so sweet. Grabs us whatever we ask for, and we end up getting the chance to try a bunch of different things! The cauliflower and broccoli was absolutely delicious (I hate them, typically). The fish is some of the freshest fish I've ever got to taste in my life. I would die to have their sashimi again. Served with the passionfruit sauce, it's absolutely astounding. Although I would say it's a little pricier than other sushi places I've gone to--the price and the service is worth the quality. The ambience, too, is comforting and warm (with lots of wood, and warm light). What really made me happy was that all of these portion sizes for the food are quite sharable. Lots of fresh food for a good price; I'd definitely come here again.

The food was amazing! We tried their omakase and each dish was different than the next, super flavorful and fresh. The service was great, they were really friendly and informative. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Amazing food! We loved the dragonfly roll and the albacore special! Our kids even loved the food. Our waitstaff was amazing. A team member even gave our son a bunch of Pokémon cards! What a awesome family experience!!

Food was great. Rolls were fresh. Waitress was awesome. Front greeter was a bit slow. No greeting when we first got there. Not even a simple ‘welcome I'll be right with you'. That basic/simple step goes a long way as far as starting the dinner experience on the right foot.
