This place is a desert gem. Ive always noticed this place while driving though and we finally decided to stop in while visiting nearby Jacumba. As soon as we walked in, everyone stopped and starred. This is definitely a locals only type of place. We must have stuck out like a sore thumb city slickers. The Lazy Lizard bar in ocotillo is a local institution. I've been coming out here for over 20 years and the bar, with the original owners, were running it well before I came out. Some people might call it your classic "dive bar." They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a good selection of bottle beers as well.
