The best thing about Bonnie Lu's is Bonnie Lu - or someone who could have been her - she was kind of all over the place greeting people, serving up coffee, etc. She was effervescent. Our servers were also attentive and great.I felt like our meals were only okay. I had Dennis's Country Combo. The gravy on my biscuits and gravy was barely warm and the biscuit was doughy, tho the hash browns were hot and very crunchy, just the way I like them. My companion's eggs were cooked incorrectly which, if you're a breakfast place, I feel you should get right every single time.

American style food. House environment. The employees are caring and sincere. Service speed is good. The environment is simple, in the comfort of your home. You will both have a nice lunch and have a great time in this beautiful town. Don't leave Ojai without stopping by the ice cream shop about 40 meters away!!!It's been six years since I wrote this comment. I went again today. They still cook the same delicious food.

Wonderful experience overall. Big meals for a great price and the friendliest staff. while the food was diner food it still had a true homemade taste, not just open a big bad of frozen foods and drop in the fryer. Felt like stepping back in time to an old family diner. We loved it and can’t wait to return. It’s a nice alternative to the rest of the area.

The Denver Omelette was scrumptious! Also tried the French toast. The fruit bowl, I got as a side, was so fresh and tasted so good. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Ojai!

I think Bonnie Lu herself was my waitress (said she had worked there 28 years) did not check up on us throughout our sit down experience. As we were waiting for my food she sat down and had a conversation with another customer. In the meantime all of the 4 groups of people waiting outside with us were already served and finishing up, while we still had not been served! Won't be back due to service. Total from when we checked in to when we left 2 hours! The restaurant was not even full!
I love Bonnie Lu's!!! The food is delicious. I ordered Ken's Breakfast Platter. The service was friendly. The music was delightful and they have a little tv at the bar. I would definitely come back.
