We have eaten at this restaurant many times over our many visits to the resort. We are very happy that à la carte dining has returned. That was an issue for us over the last five years when a fixed menu was adopted . Anyway, the food was delicious and we were very satisfied with the service.

My official favorite restaurant ever. Everything we ate was amazing and fresh and the service by David was even better.

The food and wine selection is top notch. If you come to Ojai I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had an amazing dinner here! The staff was professional and attentive. Food was incredible. Ambiance was lovely. We ordered a bottle of wine they didn't end up having, so they chose a more expensive substitute and gave it to us for the cost of the first bottle. They also comp'd my husband's birthday dessert. Very nice touches that will bring us back without question. Highly recommend Olivella!

I took my husband there to celebrate his birthday. Everything was fantastic. We've been coming here for years whenever we're in town and this is a place that never disappoints!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last Wednesday! Alana made the experience so special for us. Her kind, expert, and friendly service was the highlight of our stay at Ojai Valley Inn. Our courses included delicious salad, bolognese, branzino, steak, and spectacular desserts. Alana went above and beyond to offer a special drink option I inquired about that was not on the menu. We loved sitting on the balcony with the beautiful sunset views. Members of the staff made our dinner at Olivella comfortable and special! Bravo!

Chef Foskey's food was absolutely delicious. Worth every penny it was the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The whole staff made it so special for our anniversary and we can't wait to go back. Plus, the outdoor dining provided gorgeous views of the mountains and stars at night. Cannot recommend enough.

We were really disappointed. Service was kind but food was with little flavor. From start to finish. We traveled far to celebrate a big birthday and left disappointed.

Stayed at the Ojai Inn for a few days and tried this restaurant. The only have a set menu and optional wine pairings. We tried a wide variety of dishes. The rigatoni was the best I've ever had. The milk and honey desert was fabulous. The wine pours were stingy and several of the pairings were way off. The service was good but a bit cold. We enjoyed it but would not rush back.

The waitstaff was amazing. The various courses were perfect size. Each dish was flavorful and delicious. We really enjoyed our dining experience.

Delicious and one of a kind experience! My husband came here for a dinner while on our honeymoon. David B. was our server. He was so knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Kenya, the food runner, was so nice! We chatted with her on several times throughout our dinner. Every dish was so delectable!!! We can't wait to come back next year for our anniversary.

We’ve been loyal guests of the Inn for years and have even hosted multiple events here. This year, we chose to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Olivella, making a reservation months in advance. When we arrived—dressed up, excited, and with our peaceful 6-month-old baby asleep in his stroller—we were shocked to be turned away because of our child. The manager claimed our baby would “ruin the ambiance,” which felt incredibly dismissive and discriminatory.

Even more upsetting, other staff later told us this was a blanket policy meant to prevent disruptions from misbehaving children—but that exceptions are often made. Ours was clearly a situation where an exception made sense. Instead, the manager was cold, unaccommodating, and entirely inflexible.

To make matters worse, we were told the grandparents should wait with the baby at the bar while we dined alone. That’s not just unhelpful—it’s insulting.

It’s deeply disappointing that a resort branding itself as family-friendly would treat loyal guests this way. This experience was upsetting, embarrassing, and a stark contrast to the warm hospitality we’ve come to expect. We’ll be seriously rethinking future visits and event plans at this property.
