This place is great. The quality of food is awesome, like always. The taste is superb, and the atmosphere is cozy. Too bad this place is closing..

Extensive menu with interesting salad selections but feta cheese was very prominent for an Italian restaurant Entrees were very pricey ($35-47) . Significantly high noise level. Service however was very good.

Mmm disappointing and at $30 expensive bowls of pasta that were mediocre. Nice atmosphere. Wont be back.

Had a delicious birthday dinner here. The homemade ravioli , flatbread and caprese salad were incredible.
Great place to dine indoors or out on the back patio. They have a nice wine and beverage list as well.

I’ve been to this restaurant a decent amount over the years. It’s gone up and down but we went again over the weekend and it was unbelievably bad. Wine was all bad and tasted sour. Food took literally 50 minutes to come and it was early. We were seared at 5:30! The kale salad tasted like nothing. The butternut squash in the salad was rock hard. Risotto was undercooked and came out 10 min after the rest of the food. Spaghetti squash also very hard, but this is usually how it’s served here. The first salad was out a full 30 minutes before any of the other food (it was not an appetizer). We brought out of town guests from NYC and were embarrassed by the experience. Never going back to OMG.

Nice environment, solid service and the food was good. We enjoyed our meal at OMG. I enjoyed my chicken parm but my wife did not love her pasta dish. I think the rest at our table enjoyed but did not love their meals. It was fine. The dinning room is comfortable. Not stuffy. Fine for families. The service was consistently good. The prices were OK. We probably will not return.

We drove up from Ventura and had one of the best meals of any restaurant we have dined at not only in Ventura but Paris, New York, Amsterdam, and more. I an in the travel business and I can say that the experience was better than we have while traveling. The atmosphere is quaint and unpretentious and my wife loved the food. Have a glass of wine, relax and enjoy the simple and delicious food.It looks like the owners and staff take great pride in their work.On our way back this weekend.

Used to eat here regularly, but not coming back: their price increases are just out of control, e.g. just recently 40% more for the ravioli while reducing their portion size = almost twice as expensive as before. None of the other restaurants in Ojai are this audacious.
can you really eat a bad or so-so meal in Ojai? we were craving Italian on a Friday night and this place had availability for 6 people. ordered a variety of pasta and seafood/meat dishes. they were all good. like could I have made this food at home? probably. but sometimes you don't want to cook and deal with cleaning up afterwards. the only odd thing that evening was we had to pay for bread. don't let that be a deal breaker since it does come out very warm and crispy on the outside while soft in the inside. indoors the ambiance is warm and there is plenty of space between tables. overall a good place for Italian food

What a great idea, to list pasta dishes by sauces with a choice of several pasta shapes. We sat at the bar, and the bartender's suggested pairings of sauce and pasta were perfect. Great wine choices as well. The Osteria bar is a classic gathering place, where conversations happen spontaneously and new friends are made.
