My friends & I went to Rory's last night to have oysters and fries as we have done many times in the past. To my dismay, the oysters did not taste the same as they had before, and something about the taste felt very off to me. After dinner, I drove home and experienced one of the worst food poisoning experiences I have ever had. The restaurant made it up to me by refunding the meal & providing compensation. I have updated this review because of their kindness.

Great food in a great atmosphere. It's priced high(ish) but fairly considering the quality, worth paying for. Was pleased to have Dylan looking after us, he's a top guy, made us very welcome.

Overall a good experience but felt a little underwhelming considering the price point and difficulty getting a table. Service was subpar; we had to wait 20 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation, and the servers weren't super engaged. Cool atmosphere and amazing potatoes and chicken, but unfortunately mediocre oysters. Decent option for a fancy dinner on the strip, but I wouldn't go out of your way to dine here.
Waited over an hour and a half for a table (we didn't book a reservation) and it was worth every second. The food is phenomenal and the servers are wonderful! We got the market salad, hearth bread, chicken liver pate, hanger steak, and banana cream pie. All were delicious but our favourite was the bread!

We loved our experience at Rory’s! The service was excellent, shout out to Carrie! All of the food was fresh and delicious. I had the tomato margarita drink and it was exceptional. The salads are really something special, fresh, crispy, thoughtfully assembled. My husband is obsessed with the sweet potatoes. The skirt steak is a MUST. & the pavlova was the perfect balance of sweetness and passionfruit tanginess. I couldn’t recommend dining here more!

The ambiance at Rory’s Place really makes it a standout experience! The service was very nice - our waiter was lovely, but left us for some longer stretches of time so we were there a bit longer than we wanted to be. The food was extremely fresh and well cooked, particularly the Japanese sweet potato - get it if you go! I also got the Hello Satan cocktail which was a mezcal passionfruit situation. Delicious and well balanced, and the rest of their cocktail menu looked equally as thoughtful. My main dish of King Salmon didn’t blow me away given the price, but my partner really enjoyed his hangar steak.

We had a great first half of our meal. Oysters, drinks came out quickly and fun good service. Then, we sat for a while and our main courses came out one by one with 25 minute gaps in between with cold fries and a polenta dish that literally took over an hour to arrive. Wait staff must have been stressed or something because they pretty much ghosted us for the second half. Not what you expect for a $250 dinner for two. Won’t be back. Bummer, it was a special occasion and the dinner was anything but special. And, we had a reservation and still had to wait.

One of the best dinner services my wife and I have ever had. Still thinking about that walnut ice cream weeks later.

It’s fine. Not a lot of vegan options available. Not that everyone needs that, but it’s nice to not stuff yourself with only gluten, dairy, meat, seafood.
Anyway, the bummer part of our experience was actually the server. Not sure where to begin. It was like she was half there and that half did not want to be there. We couldn’t have been a nicer or easier table, but she continued to give us a vibe that made us want to leave asap.
It was my mom’s 84th bday and we spent over $250. I asked for a surprise desert- but she forgot and came to the table and asked about dessert. I whispered to her, a reminder, ordered the dessert then returned to practically throw the dessert (w/ a lit candle) on the table. No acknowledgement of a birthday.- just a blank stare. Kind of ruined the whole dinner it was so egregious.

Rory's is decidedly too cool for school. The menu still has bright spots, some dishes great and some just okay. However, the service is atrocious. They treat you like it's a privilege for you to be there, and this pertains to every staff member we encountered. Too many other good places to put up with this. From what I hear from friends in Ojai, a lot of locals are giving up too. Not vindictive, just honest. Goodbye Rory's.

One of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time!
The food was fantastic — every dish was fresh and full of flavor. I’ve heard great things about Patrick’s cooking, and it definitely lived up to the hype.
Jordan, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us some great wine pairings.
Between the food and service, it was an all-around excellent night out. Can’t wait to return!

Very crowded, loud well lit spot with high ceilings and cramped and uncomfortable seating for dinner. The food was disappointing and overpriced - the half chicken was undercooked, the frito misto and the squid ink pasta were very greasy causing some stomach discomfort. To be seated you were nearly grazing the top of the table next to you.
Our waitress was outstanding. I would consider having a drink at the bar, but I would not dine here again.
