Friendly ambiance, attentive service, but most dishes were lackluster. Oysters were bland and served with what looked like ketchup and vinegar instead of cocktail and mignonette sauces. Ceviche had no citrus tang, wasabi ahi tuna tasted frozen. Only the cod fish & chips stood out, so I would stick with fried and avoid the fresh options here.
Great patio with lots of food options. Fried Zucchini is hit or miss. Sometimes it is super crunchy and sometimes it can be a bit soggy. Not sure why the range of experience. Tacos are great, service is fantastic with really great people. Other really tasty item is the ceviche. Patio is covered and excellent if you bring a furry friend(s).
We stopped by for a later dinner while visiting Ojai for a conference. Our server was extremely sweet and made our experience - he checked in regularly and gave an update on food and drink orders. Food came out timely and was tasty - we had their salmon teriyaki, which came with a good mix of vegetables, and the trout which is a restaurant favorite. We dined outside as the weather was perfect and got to see the sunset. We would recommend if looking for a reasonably priced bite...
