From appetizers, entrees to dessert, everything was spot on and delicious. My sister and I were going to skip coming here before leaving town but were so glad we didn’t. Definitely planning to come back!

Bad first experience, empty tables everywhere but they required everyone to stand in a long line of over 20 customers to place order before being able to sit. Then they required payment before even seeing how my food turned out. Then I was burned on my hand when they handed me a huge cup

My wife and I spent a weekend in Ojai a couple weeks ago and had dinner Friday night at The Duchess. We had a FANTASTIC meal (lamb biryani, lamb masala, and a side of naan). High quality ingredients and delicious. Ambience and service were great as well. It's the first meal I've had in a while where I walked away really remembering what I had and enjoying it immensely. Will definitely be back next time we get away to Ojai.

The Dutchess has a good menu with an Asian / American theme to it. The bakery is a huge draw.

We came on a day they were a little short staffed and our service was a bit slow although everyone was kind.
I asked about portion size of the mussels dish which was listed as an entree and was told it would be enough for a dinner portion. I was served 10 mussels in broth with no sides, vegetables, and had to order rice separately. I had to eat my friends food!

My first time here as my husband is volunteering and will do the 100K cycling the next day. Found this restaurant in google but as soon as I came in, I felt unwelcomed. Receptionist told me there was no table both indoors and outdoors when literally you can see open seats. When I place my order, person taking the order made me wait to ask somebody so she can “make sure how long is the wait” (for what?), and then she came back to tell me it’s about 15-20 minutes wait for dine in table. I ordered both for dine in and take out food for my husband and she said I’ll just prepare them all for take out (!?) Why? Not sure why I gave tip when their customer service sucked ! Sorry but never coming back. … not sure if it’s because I’m the only Asian there at that time 😤

This is the best restaurant in Ojai. It is so hard to decide what to order because everything on the menu is so delicious. The cocktails are fantastic and the service is perfect. You will not find a kinder staff anywhere else in the world! You must eat here at least once, if not every time you come to town.

Each dish had multiple layers of flavor. We savored every bite! Both of us closed our eyes to savor each morsel. Absolutely lovely service from everyone. Can’t wait to return!
