The service is great! Victoria, our waitress had the greatest of attitudes, and although she didn't have all the answers we asked about the menu, she tried to get us the info we needed. Our group showed up on a Friday night because it was karaoke night. Maribel is a very good DJ and she knows how to keep the party going, our only complaint is that she takes too many cigarette breaks. I had the nachos because I believe that you'll know a good restaurant when they do well with the simple dishes, - they were very delicious and loaded with carne asada and beans.

Great food, bartenders and waitresses are unbelievably gorgeous and courteous.. TV's everywhere perfect for family or hanging with friends.. only problem bring your wallet if you plan on drinking..1 shot of anything not well is 10 bucks.. ouch

If you want to chill, have alcoholic drinks and watch sporting events this is a good spot. Food not so much... Haha We had a shrimp cocktail($15), ceviche tostada($8) seafood not good at all and a carne asada taco was ok, food could be better. Maybe we didn't order the right stuff, other than that it's was cool to watch the fight and have a few beers...

I was disappointed with this place. I went last Sunday with my daughter and my husband they had a football game (cowboys) no body but not one person Greeted us or sat us down! Not coming bad ugly ambiance!

I came with my dod mom and sister the cilantro was old the radishis were very old i ordered a burrtio and the meat was sweet and it had no seasoning DO NOT COME HERE

Food is great and drinks are great. They do charge extra for additional chips and salsa. Paying extra $ for additional chips and salsa should be illegal lol and you must buy a water bottle if you want water
The food was good, but it was nothing like the pictures that get promoted on Facebook. The customer service wasn't all that good either and the aguas frescas were watered down. Especially the horchata one. Over all it was decent.

Worst mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Food was just terrible. Shrimp cocktail had no flavor. Quesadilla soaked in grease. Tortillas were doughy not fully cooked. All salsas' tasted terrible as if they came out of a can. Meat was flavourless and greasy.

I just visited this restaurant tonight for my friend's birthday cause we wanted to try something new and the food was TERRIBLE. We first tasted the salsa and it tasted like tomato or just straight from a can and we tried their other salsas (green & red) and they were so bitter, which set the tone for the whole dining experience. After trying the salsa we were terrified to try the food we ordered because what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't have GOOD salsa?? So when we tried our food the meat was extremely greasy and flavorless, the tortillas wear doughy, the sopes were hard, and the shrimp cocktail had no flavor. I originally ordered a quesadilla with pastor but when I got my order the meat was dark and smelled like sweet BBQ.... normal pastor is orange and NOT sweet so I didn't even wanna try it and sent it back for a quesadilla with asada instead and when I got that one it was SOAKED in grease. I picked up a piece of the quesadilla and it was laying in a puddle of grease and when I bit into it the grease just squirted everywhere. So disgusting. I told our server sorry but we're not eating this food and we left. HUGE disappointment. I was so excited to try this place cause their food looked amazing on their Instagram account. Never coming back. We at Applebee's now.

I used to come here when it was playas Del Mar. Me and my husband loved it because they had mariachi. I personally did not like the food but my husband loved it. They changed owners and name to a sports bar and tbh we never tried it. My husband saw a advertisement for the new name Chapala bar and grill and decided to try the bar after eating at Culichitown. This place is nice. Clean and the bartenders are attentive and the drinks are great. We ordered basic drinks. Diet Coke and captain Morgan and Buchanan's with pineapple. Sadly there was only a few patrons. There is also karaoke with great Spanish music. We will be coming back to try the food. Honest update coming soon. I definitely can see this as our stomping ground on Saturday's! ****update*** ok so today October 12 2019 we came to try the food. It did not meet my expectations at all. The waitress was a little coldtheh at first but then warmed up. We ordered a molcajete Mar y Tierra, cocktel de camarón and camarones costa azul. The beans and rice were authentic and the corn tortillas were hecho a mano. But there was something missing. The shrimp in both the cocktel and costa azul lacked flavor. I added lemon and Tapatio to the cocktel and it still tasted bland. My husband said the molcajete also lacked flavor. We barely ate it. Took the leftover to go. We were leaving and my husband said if I wanted a drink. I said ok and we made our way to the bar. Since we had a great experience about 3 weeks ago I said f*** it let's do it. The bartenders were not the same but this pretty bartender named Monica served us and made us feel welcomed. We were so happy to see the karaoke host maribel again as well. I messaged my bff tl come down and she did with her husband and daughter. We had the best time and are meeting again next Friday. TBH the bar and karaoke are the best part of this place. Monica the bartender and maribel is he karaoke host maje it happen. Drawback they close at 11p. The bar is where the money is. They need to close at 2a like all locations. Will continue to come here for the bar. They need to work on the food and definitely close late to make this work. Btw there is a great crowd at the bar side. Great location for couples.
