Been waiting to try this place for a long time. What a disappointment 😔. Food wasn't what I expected at all didn't even finish it then the service was the worst I've gotten in a long time if I could give it a negative I would. Maybe it was because it was the first hour of opening. Definitely will not be coming back and do not recommend to waste your money.

We tried Oak and Ember for the first (and last) time yesterday. Instagram had this place highly recommended. But I didn't see it or taste it in any of the food.

The best thing was our server, she was nice and apologetic.

The food was very bland for a BBQ spot. The burnt ends were nothing more than beef pot roast with no BBQ sauce...a little salt could have made a difference. The double fried potatoe skins with pulled pork were terrible (where is the flavor) I think that the potatoes came from a box. After the 2 appetizers that I've never met our expectations. We decided to stop the bleeding, and not try anything else. I definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.

If you want to enjoy some dry bbq, this is the perfect place! All of the meat selections are as dry and tasteless as my wife’s humor.

I would’ve given zero stars if that were an option. The food was just okay, but the portions? Laughable. $30 for a tiny 3-piece rib mostly all fat (with the bone doing most of the work), and $22 for brisket that looked like it lost a fight with a deli slicer—two paper-thin pieces.
We ordered a tea, a margarita, and a small appetizer. Nothing crazy. Yet somehow, getting the bill at 4 PM (not exactly peak chaos hour) took forever. The total was $68, so my husband handed over $100. Then we sat
 and waited
and watched our server help everyone else like we had suddenly become invisible.
Eventually, we had to get up and ask someone else. That’s when they came back and said, “Oh actually, your bill is $98.” Apparently, she “didn’t do it correctly” the first time. So
$2 change. Cool. Would’ve been nice to communicate that before disappearing. Also, last I checked, receipts usually come back with your money—but maybe that’s a new, optional feature now.
And because the experience just wasn’t quite complete yet, I noticed on the way to the car that we were also charged $8 for two sodas we immediately sent back for being flat. Went back in (because, you know, principle), waited another 10 minutes
 still nothing.
It’s not even about the $8 at this point. It’s about basic competence. The job isn’t that complicated, but somehow this entire experience felt like a group project where nobody did their part.

Service was GREAT!
BBQ was ok. No much of a smoke flavor.
Music was so loud (at 3p it was a little odd)

I called this restaurant Valentines Day at around 3 pm the person on the phone stated that they were not taking reservations at this time but, I could walk in. I then drove to the restaurant with my wife 30 minutes away and walked in to the front desk to asked to be placed on the list and the very rude hostess told me if I didn’t have reservations there wasn’t any walk-ins at this time. I told her I just spoke with a gentleman 30 mins ago on the phone who told me that the restaurant wasn’t taking reservations but, I could walk In and there would be about a 30 min wait for 2 guest, the host said sorry the kitchen is backed up and we are taking reservations only. There was clearly seating available throughout the restaurant which I could se standing at the front counter. I went to my car and sent my wife in to asked to be seated who is very fair skinned who could pass for another race and was successful with being placed on the list
how ironic lol. I am usually not the person to complain or use the race card but, being a business owner for the last 25 years, I felt I was discriminated against due to my skin color and I will never patronize this restaurant ever again. The food looked amazing on TikTok but, I respect myself too much to be treated this way in this day in time. Thank you but, no thank you!!! I hope the best for this business, for what it’s worth.

Well, today my husband and I went to Oak and Ember because we heard so much about it on TikTok. We made reservations for 6:30 p.m. When we were seated at the booth, it was a split table, meaning it was two tables pushed together at the booth, which was very surprising; we had never seen that before. When the waitress finally came to our table, she told us that they were out of ribs, and we were trying to get the barbecue boiled bag, which was $150. We didn't know that, so we had to choose other items on the menu. I had a peach margarita, which was mediocre. Usually, I order three or four drinks, but I didn't order any more after tasting that. My husband was very surprised that I didn't order more drinks. I told him the drink was nasty.

Then we ordered the big back platter, which came with brisket tacos, brisket, onion rings, waffle fries, some barbecue wings, and sliders. The sliders were pink inside, so I didn't like them. My husband gave them a rating of four. The brisket tacos were a four, while the brisket received a rating of two; it had no taste and was fatty. I had to send back the waffle fries and onion rings because the first presentation was burnt, and you could see the black char on the onion rings and the waffle fries, which was unacceptable, especially for paying $75 for this platter. The mac and cheese was supposed to be three cheese macaroni, but it was dry. I sent it back, and when they came back with it, it was still dry and not cheesy. I give the mac and cheese a two; I could cook better mac and cheese.

In all, we left the waffle fries and the rest of the food—we didn't even eat 90% of our food—and we paid $130. My husband had ordered a burger, which came with some French fries; the burger was good, so we give that a five. The French fries were too crispy and burnt. If you're paying for this food, why are you serving burnt items? It's unacceptable. The presentation was unacceptable, and the food became dog food. We will not be visiting this establishment anymore, and we are never going to take advice from TikTok, especially when a white man is giving a review.

Additionally, they were skimpy on the ketchup. There were no ketchup or condiments on the table—no salt, no pepper—and when we asked the waitress for some ketchup, she brought us tiny cups that looked like they held only two spoonfuls of ketchup. Unacceptable! Overall, we give the restaurant a three. We will never return ever again; we are very disappointed.

Corn dip.... Yes!
French fries......yaaaaas!
Drinks......Yes! Can be on the sweeter side but overall good flavors.
Mashed potatoes.......are not potatoes. Avoid at all costs.
Tri tip....yes! Not a huge portion, but great for girl dinner.
BBQ chicken salad...yes.
Jalapeño ranch. Delicious 😋
Also stock is a little disappointing. Did not get cornbread. T'was swapped with a hawaiian roll and they were out of green beans.
Service was pretty good and ambience was good.

Food is good, service is just terrible. The manager is useless and blamed the owner for mistakes that occurred during our time of dining that evening.

Service isn’t amazing. Over priced for salty food. Chances are you can barbecue better at home.
