Absolutely amazing flavors. I have been to at least 10-12 Peruvian places and this one has to be up their with the best of them. Place is a little small but the flavors pack a nice punch.

It’s been a while since we had good Peruvian food . One of our chef friends recommended Picante to us. They open at 10:30am. We didn’t have breakfast so we were pretty hungry by the time we arrived at 11am. The interior is simple and quaint with cool murals on the wall when you enter. We shared the Anticuchos de corazon to start. It was my first time having it but with the way the season and grill it, I just thought it was steak . We both got our “go to” Peruvian dishes; Lomo Saltado for me and Tallarin Verde con Lomo for my husband . We ate every last bit of our food, so delicious. Service was also super friendly. They’re going to be opening a second location featuring Peruvian chicken in Upland so we’re super excited for that. Can’t wait… 😝

Tried almost everything on the menu and my fav is Lomo Saltado with fried rice. So good! Lunch time can be busy so expect a little wait, kitchen makes it all hot to order.

Picante is absolutely, unequivocally the best Peruvian restaurant in the IE. As a Peruvian and foodie myself, I’m super grateful we have a Peruvian restaurant near my home town, Chino Hills!
