They are stingy with the food. Its overpriced but they don't offer a lot based on portion. For a tonkotsu ramen they only give you a single slice of chasu. I basically had a bowl of just noodles and sesame seeds. Yet their picture shows you get 3. 2 stars is only because the staff who waited us were kind and the customer service was nice. However out of all the ramen shop Ive been to, by far this was the worse.

This restaurant was a last minute find on our search for a dinner place. I was in the mood for soup and noodles, and the husband willingly obliged. We ordered the shrimp tempura udon and pork katsu curry. The shrimp tempura was still crispy when it was served, noodles had a bouncy bite, and the broth was flavorful. My husband isn't too big of a soup person, and he slurped almost all the soup! The pork katsu curry was exactly what we wanted. Curry was on point, and the rice was cooked perfectly! (It sounds silly, but poorly cooked rice can ruin a dish). There was also a creamy udon on the menu that I'd like to try next time. Our server was quick and profession. The inside of the cafe was so cute and inviting. It's decorated well with comfy chairs and couches, exposed red brick, and hanging chandeliers, which also makes this a great spot to read or get some work done.

Been here before but had some criticisms this time! I ordered two spicy tonkotsu ramen and a takoyaki appetizer to go. My usual order is the Japanese pork curry with their brown sugar boba, never misses and is amazing but decided to try something new as spicy tonkotsu ramen and takoyaki is my boyfriend and I's favorite order at other ramen places. It ended up being a whopping $48 with taxes and tip, a little surprising because our usual spots total around $35-40 for a meal but I've been told before it's to cover minimum wage costs, which is fine by me but was a little taken back. Still, because of my previous experience, I didn't mind and went ahead with the order. I didn't say this before because I didn't put much thought to it- But the videos of that woman dancing around in a bikini and dresses in a boat or a beach or at dinner displayed in the restaurant is kinda weird and uncomfortable? Anyone who goes here knows what I'm talking about but it's kinda crazy! Not really something I want to see when eating to be honest, especially if I want to eat here with my parents Anyways, we got the ramen and takoyaki. Takoyaki was pretty good but not sure if I would order again for $10 when it's 6 pieces. The ramen was the most disappointing and would definitely not order again, which is disappointing as a ramen lover and as someone who was excited to have ramen down the street from my house! For $16, it was not worth it at all and would go somewhere else and I wish they had done more with it- At least a piece of an extra meat (which was already super thin) or an egg. I think there's an option for spice on the side or extras but that's not the point since for so much, I feel like I get so little. Kotsu is a few miles away and for a dollar more, I feel like I get more bang for my buck. Also, I love spicy ramen and spice in general, but this spice really overtook the broth and I can barely taste anything but spice. There's usually a creamy, garlicky balance with the spice when I usually have spicy tonkotsu so for it to be so spicy was something else. I still love Unique Cafe and the staff is very friendly and the curry rice is amazing, along with the drinks and desserts. This experience was a little off putting but I think I'll stick to my usual order!

Don't know if I was supposed to seat myself but not a single employee looked my way or said anything, also was passed by 2 of the employee or maybe the owner and an employee and not even eye contact. Was looking forward to eating some soup on this hot day but maybe I'll come back again in a month to see if customer service has improved. We will see

I wanna start by saying when my girl and I first found this nice place we loved the decor and the inside , but besides that everything else was bad specially the fact that no one would come to our table . We thought this was a nice cafe and we came to find out everything served was pre cook. Eventually we decided to give it another shot and came back a couple months later . The place improved a lot and I really mean it . Food was better we were served by a nice young lady and the owner . It was noisy inside because they had a bunch of people from the city that felt that they were at a private venue because they kept being noisy and obnoxious even one of them kept standing right next to our table with her ass right next to my face (no joke ) . All this was not in its entirety fault of the cafe but of the people from the city . Owner saw our discomfort and apologized multiple times so it was nice over all . After what in my opinion was a way better second try of this place , I came again , a young lady wearing regular clothing (no uniform at all) helped us , I wanna say she was nice over all but you could tell she had no training or experience on this kind of industry because her customer hospitality was none existent. She came a couple times to the table but mostly was in the back talking to the other lady . No questions were asked for example : how is your food ? Can I get you more water ? Would you like a desert ? . All regular restaurants etiquette, none . I left a no so great 12% tip due to the service I tend to leave more than 20% because I know how is it to work in this industry. All this things can be fixed if the owner pays attention to them closely . Restaurant/food industry can be harsh and difficult if not done properly , I work on it myself . I write this review not to shit on the place because is nice to have a place like this near home . I write this review for the owner to read and with all due respect get his business together , because I believe that with the right training and the proper care this will be a really nice spot . Otherwise it would just fail just like many other places that have tried to half ass their business in downtown Ontario

You guys!!!! This place was SOOOOOOOOO SOOOO delicious. This is the spot I will exclusively be going to and telling everyone about for the IE. Every dish had so much flavor, and it came out fast. The Ramen broth is so rich and like a warm hug. It's spicy but not overwhelming. Sushi was fresh ingredients and well worth the price. I love how modern it is inside its super cute and clean. It defines what you think of when going to sushi. Seriously 12/10. Can't wait to come back and try

This place ambience is nice and calm except for the videos on the wall. Great hang out place for the weekend or even lunch break if you're in the near by businesses. Food does not take long to come out. I would say a nice place for a first date meet up too. One down fall is the parking. You have to find curb parking. I'm not to sure if there's back parking lot. If there is, you would have to walk around to the front. The food and presentation are good. The boba drinks are excellent. Their price is quite reasonable especially on the drinks. They have a varieties of appetizers, salads and boba drinks.

We live in the area and have been curious about trying this place out since we typically commute to get good ramen. Pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, the crunchy dragon roll and a California roll. It was good lots of flavor and good portions. I agree with a previous review that it was missing the soft boiled egg but other than that we were very happy with the food and service. The restaurant itself was very clean, good music and nice ambiance. The servers were quiet but sweet and attentive. Food came out extremely quickly. We'll definitely be back we're curious to try some other items from the menu :)

Delicious food! Love their mango roll and croquettes, so good! The ambiance is chill and a great place to be with friends, family or even to take yourself on a solo date! Been here twice and have enjoyed both times. Will definitely be coming back :)
great customer service, with a comfort atmosphere, very clean, the TV and music are at good volume which is great and omgaaaaa the food taste delicious am so full but I want more. ha ha!.. price is worth the plate you select.

I recommend trying this place out at least just once I got the basic run of the mill crunchy roll it was crunchy obviously, and the spicy tonkostu ramen was excellent not too spicy not to mild just hit the spot right the service is good and as the name implies it is quite an unique spot.

I said I would return, and in less than 2 weeks, I'm back! Still great service offered, tried something new and I was not disappointed- all very good. This time I came on a Friday evening, around 7:00pm- very low-key. Very nice place to lounge and enjoy great food and service! I got the pork katsu, veggie spring rolls, shrimp tempura roll (again).

Food was good, service was good. However, I strongly recommend them to correct one thing; as I walked in, the barkeeper smell was too strong, so it felt like I was in a restroom. You know the cleaning liquid smell.. So please, clean the smell and fill it with some pleasant scent.. please. If then, this place will be much more crowded.

First time stopping in to this lovely establishment. I was greeted promptly by Klarissa. She was very sweet and welcoming. I really like the ambiance they had lots of fresh flowers on the tables. I love fresh flowers. This is definitely a Unique Cafe Experience and I will definitely be back. I really enjoyed the customer service. Klarissa was on it with the customer service and very attentive to the guest she was helping. I like seeing sweet souls in the customer service industry. Klarissa thank you for the great experience you rock. P.S your hair was looking nice. I wish I had hair to check and brush lol.
