I’m so happy I found this place. This is real Mexican food. I ordered the cochinita pibil bowl which is quite big and not expensive at all. I highly recommend this place.

We traveled from Los Alamitos with high hopes of enjoying some authentic Mexican food after hearing great reviews about the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience with the service did not meet our expectations. Upon arriving, we saw a sign that instructed us to wait to be seated. After a few minutes without any greeting, a gentleman, who seemed preoccupied with a conversation, eventually told us to go ahead and sit down.
After we were seated, we noticed that other customers who arrived later were greeted warmly, offered menus right away, and asked about drinks. This inconsistency in service left us feeling overlooked.
Ultimately, we decided to leave without trying the food. I would suggest that the restaurant focus on providing consistent hospitality to all customers, regardless of when they arrive. It’s a shame we couldn’t experience their cuisine, and I hope they can improve this aspect for future guests.

My wife and I had gone to CVS and afterwards we saw them cooking outside. We decided to stop by and get a bite. My wife had a filet mignon taco. I had the chicken taco very juicy and very delicious. The atmosphere was nice with a sunset. I keep seeing the reviews about chilaquiles and hot abuelita chocolate! We will be coming back to try.

Went when it wasn't busy, but the parking and service were still awful. Disappointed by my experiece because it used to be so much better.
First, it took forever for the server to take our order even though the resteraunt was mostly empty. We didn't get water until after our food finally arrived.
Our order was wrong and I requested to just cancel the incorrect item but it was still on the bill. Never received any appology or anything - IF I ever go back it will NOT be this location.
Parking: Parking is incredibly difficult, even when the resteraunt is not busy at all.

I liked the ambiance and the service. The food was mostly good, but there was an issue with either the cooks or the server. I wanted over-easy eggs, but was told that would be charged as a side because all the eggs are prepared ahead of time either sunny-side or well-done. An odd practice, but I accepted the extra charge. The eggs came out a few minutes after the rest of the food, but were well-done. I said the eggs were wrong, so I sent them back and reminded the server that I wanted the eggs over-easy. The eggs came out 10 minutes later, when I was basically done with the rest of my food, and they were sunny-side. Either the cooks or chef did not care to make the accommodation I asked for or the server did not care to check that the eggs were made incorrectly.

I came here because I was excited to try the chilaquiles because it’s what people online said are good. However, I think I was really hoping something similar to what I enjoy eating at home and these were just not it. I think the issue is the tortillas used. The chips are not made fresh and you can taste it. The place is cute, though. I don’t think I’ll be back.

This place was delicious, it was clean, the service was great & fast. It's so adorable inside, definitely brings out the Hispanic culture which is so beautiful! Will definitely come here again when we come back to visit in the future.
Husband and I met a friend for brunch and had an amazing time. The food was spectacular, the drinks were unique and delicious and the service was amazing. We have been here many times before but not back since the pandemic. This visit was right up to par! Definitely recommended.

This spot was one of our first date spots and we haven't been here in forever! So when hubby suggested that we visit here for their breakfast, I was super excited!! The Guava French Toast & the Chilaquiles will always be our favorite dishes here and it was just as delish as when we last visited! Because we were the 1st patrons there, our dishes came out super quick!
We love the small, charming restaurant. We came pretty early on a weekday morning, so we got our choice seating. Be mindful that if you come on a weekend, it does get pretty packed! There are a handful of tables with chairs set up out front, with the main dining inside the restaurant.
Can't wait to visit again!

Sadly today this establishment lost my future business. Due the managers terrible customer service. I've come to this location for years, I know the 2 female servers which I feel bad for, because today has nothing to do with them. Ordered chicken torta which comes with a side salad, at first nothing was an issue. We saw on the salad a LIVE bug/insect was on the salad, the server was in front of us, took the lettuce with the bug, apologize and said she would show the kitchen. She took the plate ( we thought they would remake the whole dish), they didn't, they just removed the salad. No big deal, we didn't continue to eat it ( we asked for a box). She returned saying that the kitchen buys packaged salad, so it's not them, it was the packaged salad they buy (shocking and kind of gross). When the bill came, yes the sandwich was charged. We reminded kindly that the food had a bug and please remove it, she agreed and said " and ofcourse it will be removed,sorry". The manager came out and said , " we cannot remove it, you had some of the sandwich" , we told him the sandwich was in the box if they wanted it. He said , well since you told the server you were not happy with the salad we just removed it. I said, there was an bug in the salad, it should of been completely replaced. He said we cannot and if you didn't want to pay you shouldnt of bit into the sandwich (as if we chose to bit into something that might have a live insect in it). Very disappointed I said " who is the manager? He said "I am", I said do whatever you need to do, I've been coming here for years, he said "yes I know you" , I responded " Then be a manager and do the right thing, there was a bug in our food thats not the customers issue, you should wash the produce". He got upset and said not to yell at him and I just responded " do whatever you need to do". Not only did he double charge our card, we invited people with us and he couldn't void the charge. What a shame on the manager. Poor servers they have always been great.
