Good drinks! Not too many seats at this location. They have good wifi is you need to work or study but the music can be a little loud sometimes.

My experience with Ape Coffee:
I moved here in January and ape happens to be the closest most convenient coffee shops near by. I started going and throughly enjoyed the staff and coffee. However over the past few months everything has changed. The coffee shop hired a whole new staff of employees that I’ve had nothing, but problems with every time I come by. I’ve been a frequent customer coming in at the same time almost twice a week ordering the exact same thing every time; a monkey business with no cinnamon. I have this problem every time I go, I ask for no cinnamon as I am allergic and every time they put it in there and when asked to remake it I get frustrated remarks and or asking if they can just scoop it off. Again I state no because I am allergic you can’t just scoop it off, as the drink has now been contaminated. Always been met with nothing but rude lazy staff who would rather talk amongst themselves than tend to the customers. For months after they switched from their new system to toast I’ve felt that even I had more experience with the system, as they always were messing my orders up and never giving me my points, when I’d point it out they claimed they would try and fix it or just simply would state that they just didn’t know how and that it couldn’t be fixed, I’ve sent emails and dms requesting for things like this to be fixed and not to have a hassle every time I just wanted to to come in and order a coffee. I’ve been a regular here for almost a year and yet the new staff claims they don’t remember me and have stopped giving me my regulars discount entirely, I never had this problem with the previous caring staff. They claimed they couldn’t see my past orders and would just have to remember me by face, but somehow never did. I took a break from coming in the last month hoping their work ethic might get better, I go in this morning getting a monkey business and a monkey bread which don’t even get me started on the bread it was horrible burnt carmelized bread nothing like a cinnamon pull apart to which they described it. I had points for a free drink and upon trying to redeem it they said I couldn’t and nothing was showing on their end, I pulled up my toast app and showed them and had to stand in line for more than 10 minutes trying to get my free rewards drink that they couldn’t find and claimed they couldn’t do anything about. I almost feel as if I’m doing their job every time I come in. Mistakes are made but it’s how a business handles it is what matters and they clearly couldn’t care. When I kept stating I had the points and even showed her she said “well if you had it then it would show up” insinuating I was lying or didn’t have the free rewards.
It’s nothing, but trouble every time I’m here. This will be my last time coming.

Poor customer service, all the baristas do is talk amongst each other and don’t do anything, drinks are super mid and not made well

We googled what was close to Irvine Park since we were going hiking that morning and needed a quick bite and coffee to power up. Ended up at Ape Coffee and glad we tried it! My bf went with a latte and egg sandwich, and I ordered their famous Cloud Ape with avocado toast. Coffee was really good, but the avocado toast had way too much lime, super tangy, not really the way I like it.
This place is definitely popular. The line was long and finding a seat or table was tricky, but we got lucky. I liked the overall vibe and especially the music playing in the background, it gave the spot some extra character. Noticed they’re also selling merch, which is pretty cool if you’re into repping your coffee spots.

The only thing that is good here is there monkey business drink. Their banana cream is delicious. Their food is not worth their price tag. I’ve had their avocado toast, tuna melt and recently their carrot cake. The carrot cake tasted bland with an overwhelming taste of a spice. I ordered an oat milk latte but the latte tasted bad as well. Their tuna melt gave me the runs. Just beware of their tuna melt.

Ever since they got bought out or whatever. Their customer service sucks. They used to give me a discount because I’m a regular but now it’s new management and staff and they don’t honor that anymore. How are you going to take over a business and say you are going to make it better but you obviously do the exact opposite. I will not be coming back here again.

Lots of people studying, good atmosphere. Coffee was… average. Nothing too special. I love a good banana coffee, so this was great just pricey. We also tried the matcha Oreo cookie which was okay.
Matcha’s good, service’s good but really.. can we get some AC running here. Its summer
I wanna go back when it’s cold inside

This café is beautifully designed and offers a unique selection of coffee and drinks. I highly recommend the Monkey Business, an iced coffee with banana cream that will delight banana lovers! Definitely will visit again when I’m around.

I stopped by today, and had a wonderful coffee. Layla was super friendly and kind. I will definitely be back as I want to try one of their breakfast sandwiches at some point. Parking is hard. Make sure to stop by.

Was a big fan of this place until I feel like I basically got scammed I asked for a matcha with no ice and the barista hands me a drink half way full I ask her why it’s only half way and she says “unfortunately our drinks are measured “ .This is not okay!! our drinks were already ready and the barista just kept talking and not giving us the drinks that’s horrible and The drink is litterally half ice will not be coming back because of this 👎👎👎
