Very authentic and tasty Cuban Food. I was walking through a farmers market near the Orange Circle with my wife and son when we saw the El Cubano food truck. We ordered two sandwiches, some croquetas, and a plato de Lechon Asado. Everything was great and the owner Luis was super friendly. Highly recommend!

It is VERY difficult to find good Cuban food in CA, and this was one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve had. Excellent pork mojo and and tostones

**Review of Food Truck at Green Cheek**
I recently ordered the ropa vieja from this food truck at Green Cheek, which consisted of rice, shredded beef, and black beans. Unfortunately, the dish was a major disappointment: the beef and beans were watered down, the rice was cold and crunchy, and the overall quality was far below expectations.
The owner approached our group to discuss our dissatisfaction, but instead of offering a genuine apology or attempting to remedy the situation, he excused the lack of additional napkins by citing the high cost of supplies. His manner was more defensive than conciliatory.
Other reviews have similarly noted the owner's rudeness. For me, this was strike one: bad food. Strike two: poor service. And strike three: an owner who fails to accept responsibility and instead blames the customers.
I cannot recommend this food truck based on my experience.
Update from Owner Luis:
To your concern I don't have to apologize you for anything because I don't don't do anything wrong based on the Video Camara images that I have recorded at Sunday 11.48 am, question is the food is so bad why do you not return second that day I sold over $350 dollars related to ropa vieja ítem no one complained about despite the other person with you trying to ruin my reputation to, it you don't stop harassing I'm going to sued you for difamación
My Response:
It looks like you remove your negative posts on your instagram and Facebook. Now you have publicly threatened me with telling the truth. I do not authorize you to use recordings of me. When you spoke with my group earlier you did not offer to refund the money for the food we purchased. At this point I would like my money back as basic decency and offer for free meals as a good gesture.
For your information In California defamation lawsuits, you must present evidence that a statement of fact is provably false. If the person who made the alleged defamatory statement was telling the truth, it is an absolute defense to an action for defamation.
This serves as your three-day notice. You have until June 14, 2024, to provide a refund. Failure to comply with this demand will result in additional actions which may adversely impact your business.
Owner Response:
The business now shows up as El Rico on Yelp.

I was looking for a proper Cuban sandwich in California after moving from Florida. This is the first place that has gotten it right.

It was ok but not good
No taste no seasoning
Only thing i could taste was the peppers.
Pork was dry
Extreme amount of oil i mean an extremely large amount. A puddle of oil at the bottom
for 15 bucks portion was fairly small
Not coming back
I tried them at Green Cheek Brewery in Orange. A+ food, definitely try the lechón and ropa vieja. I'll look for them again in the future.

Truly authentic Cuban food. So flavorful and delicious, served promptly and with a courteous smile. You won't be disappointed!
The best Cuban food ever
Went to 153 N. Cypress, Orange. It's an auto body shop, not a Cuban restaurant Google Maps lied to me.
