YUM! My mom and I grabbed lunch from this place today, we live right up the street but never tried them out until one day my dad mentioned them. The staff was friendly, i’m vegetarian so they made my burrito with special requests. It’s delicious. Great prices. We will visit again!

I would give this place 0 stars. The counter person was rude to the point of being hostile. Then I paid $7 for the WORSE taco I have ever eaten. It was so extremely salty and soaked in grease, I took 2 bites and threw it away. Skip this dump. There are plenty of places to get good Mexican food.

I know that all food is sacred but in this place the asada burritos are disgusting. I bought one and just tasted it and threw it away. I would never buy anything in this place. The meat tasted like liver with onions. Maybe it was the juice that was collected because it was old because it wasn't fresh

The food is still incredibly good. So glad they are still open. This is the last one in OC. I miss the Costa Mesa location.

This place used to be great. Not so much anymore. Beans and rice are NOT hot and yet they put it in the heater thingee. So I would highly suggest they either turn it up or leave it in longer. Salsa is tasty however. Oh...and MAJOR fail....how does a fast food restaurant be allowed to NOT have restroom facilities.

El taco is just a mainstay in our family, for some reason we love their quesdillas. They are rolled like a burrito, not flat like most quesadillas that you're used to. You can choose from red, green, or combo. All of their other food is good too. Just your typical soCal go-to mexican food joint. There are many in soCal, but if you're in the area, this is where to go.My mom grew up next to the OG El Taco in Downey. Nothing like the OG spot, but the Tustin one represents. Mom got me hooked on the quesadillas.Anyways, check it out... good food, always good to support small biz and local. Enjoy!!!

The wait can be a long one sometimes (most times) even when there is no one in line, but the quesadillas are very worth the wait. I think the staff is just short handed, I've been a patron for several years and I've only have seen three of the same staff, so I'll give them a break for the speed of service.

We have been going to the ELTaco in Downey for many years before we moved out of state. While visiting we found this one close to our hotel. We were very disappointed. The quality was nothing like the Downey location. The quesadillas had very little sauce and were dry. The guacamole was watered down and not the same as Downey’s El Taco. My Horchata had a bunch of gnats in it. We will not be back.

Me and my mom wanted to check this spot out since we drive by daily, and all I have to say is that this place was definitely not what we were expecting. She ordered nachos, and she said they were OK. I ordered a Chile relleno burrito. The Chile relleno I side my burrito was delicious, but my burrito was so sorry looking it was mostly tortilla and Chile relleno and there was no rice and barely any beans inside. In my opinion, I would have had better luck with a burrito from Taco Bell, especially for the price of 12 dollars I paid. The lady who took my order was an older Hispanic woman with gray hair. She was very rude when I asked for a combo as I saw on their menu, they had menu items that came with fries and a drink. It was borderline like she was trying to argue with me about how they don't have combos. In the end, all I wanted was a drink, but her attitude was a grey as her hair. I won't be returning and there are soooo many better places in the area.

El Taco is a local favorite and has been here for decades. One of my favorites is the chunky pork burrito I’m green chile sauce! Everything is AUTHENTIC and is brings the spice?. MUY BIEN❣️Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it’s pricey and smaller portion.

Been coming here for over 30yrs. They have the best taquitos! A little pricy. Food quality went down a little after change of management. They need to change out their coke! No carbonation and taste horrible!
