Gabbi's has a great vibe and is in a great central location. Downtown Orange Plaza is a nice place to walk around with friends whether at night or daytime. The Mojitos are delicious, priced a little high for the amount but very good. The couple we were with had Cucumber Jalapeño Margaritas. One of them actually ordered a Paloma but ended up being served a Margarita, but he did like it a lot. The Enchiladas Suiza were mediocre. Plain shredded chicken with a sweeter kind of green sauce with a zigzag of sour cream. It came with rice which was rather plain and black beans, they were good but nothing stand out. The chips, guacamole, and salsa were really good but chips aren't on the house and even when you order them it's a one basket and done deal. My husband also had enchiladas but with mole and he said they were dry and nothing special. The couple had the skirt steak and were surprised that it was on top of a corn dish but they said it was good. It was a great evening and I will visit again and try something different. I have had their Taquitos in the past and they were great but they weren't on the menu anymore.
An early dinner prior to a basketball game. We were seated on time but waited 25 minutes for water and chips. The food was great (as usual) but the lack of service urgency put unnecessary pressure on our schedule.
I've eaten here several times. I love the location and overall atmosphere of downtown Orange (Orange circle area). The service at Gabbi's Kitchen is consistently efficient and friendly. The food is good, keeping in mind I'm Mexican and cook good Mexican food, I can't give them a 5 (lol).
Since the day it opened, Gabbys has been the best Mexican restaurant in Southern California. We make up excuses to drive forty minutes each way for a special dinner. What more need to be said?
Came for the first time on a Tuesday night and so glad we did! The food/margaritas were fresh, flavorful, and authentic!
We were seated promptly with a smile from the hostess. The wonderful ambiance is very Mexican and the food is top tier. The service was good but we were overcharged a drink plus we had to send a cocktail back to get remade. Thank you chef.
We were here for our 17th anniversary. We had our post nuptial dinner here after the ceremony at the old Santa Ana Court house the day after Christmas. Always great
Phenomenal food with great service.

Excellent food and service. The salsa, something that should be so simple, elevated the experience and showed how much thought goes into each dish. Only complaint is that it is super busy and crowded. That is for good reason.

Gabbi’s Mexican Kitchen is one of those rare places that feels both timeless and alive—an Old Towne Orange staple that blends deep culinary tradition with modern artistry. Housed in a warm, hacienda‑style space, the restaurant immediately sets the tone for an elevated yet comforting dining experience.

Been about 10 times or more. Gabbis is our favorite date night spot. We drive about 1hr everytime we want gabbies because its that good! Our favorites are the Enchiladas Suizas green sauce, and the Flautas.

One of the best Mexican food we had. Their fish of the day (Barramundi) was probably the best.
Gabbi’s is an outstanding restaurant with beautiful décor and an amazing atmosphere — the kind of place you want to stay all day.
The food is exceptional, honestly some of the best Mexican cuisine my wife and I have had anywhere.
We’ve visited three times now, always dining at the bar, and every time we've been served by Rodolfo Ortega. He’s an incredibly talented bartender who makes every drink with precision. What sets him apart is his attention to detail and genuine care — after serving a drink, he always checks in to see what we think and whether there’s anything he can adjust or improve.
Perfection is clearly his standard, and kindness is simply who he is.
If management sees this: giving him a raise would be well worth it. Don’t let him get away.

I loved it! Can't wait to go back. A few of the dishes rocked my world. Great service. Not cheap but the portion sizes are generous. So grateful to live nearby! Old Town Orange is a vibe.
