First timer here. The food was good. The fish was fried to perfection, and the portiin size was great. The fish was larger than I had anticipated. The fries were OK ( only because the fish was put on top of it so by the time I went to eat the fries, they were soggy from the Fish). The Cole slaw was delicious. My kids ordered the chicken strip and I liked that it was battered and fried exactly like thr Fish. Loved the crunch. My only complaint is that it taste like it was fried in the same oil as the fish so the kids said their chicken taste like fish. The restaurant was not well ventilated. The AC was cranked (I'm assuming for the cooks since I can only imagine that the fryers would get very hot). Unfortunately because the AC was blasting....as a patron, it felt REALLY COLD. Also, i wish they had a way to vent out the fried food smell. The fried fish smell is very strong when you first step into the restaurant. Obviously over time, you get used to the smell but if they can figure out a good way to air out the place, that would be great. The guy cooking was extremely fast and efficient..he was the only worker in there and he was knocking out orders left and right. I would eat here again for sure. If you are looking for Fish and Chips ... I would definitely give this place a try .
Vegetarian options: I THINK (i don't know for sure) that they fry their onion rings, French fries, and zucchinis in the same oil as their fish,other seafood and chicken so I'm not sure how "vegetarian" that would be.

An old favorite. Brings back childhood memories .. we were so sad when Upland and Chino locations closed, but so happy this location in Orange it still open. We enjoy stopping in for lunch. The owner is so friendly. Fish and chips are so enjoyable here!

Good place to eat. I've loved the H Salt Fish and Chips since I was a kid. I like the one in Westminster a lot better. I think the food is a little better there and they're much friendlier. The staff there just wasn't that happy more friendly but overall it was a good experience. I live in San Diego but every time I'm in the LA area I visit H Salt Fish and Chips.
Short on staff makes it hard for manager and food may take a while but it's good fish and shrimps , fish and chips better than others

OMG! HAVEN'T EAT FROM HERE SINCE 1974. I TRUELY THOUGHT THEY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. BUT I WAS SEARCH THE WEB AND FOUND THIS LOCATION IN ORANGE COUNTY. SO WE DROVE 20 MILES. WE ORDERED 2 BIG BENS, WHICH IS 4 PIECES OF FISH AND FRIES. AND 2 ORDERS OF FRIED CLAMS. ITS WAS SO GOOD. I STILL HAVE SOME LEFT OVER FOR THE NEXT DAY. VERY NICE PLACE TO SIT AND DINE. PARKING IS GOOD ALSO. NICE FRIENDLY SERVERS. I DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN.

Incredible value here. 2 huge fish tacos, 2 huge shrimp tacos and 1 large piece of fried fish only cost me $20. The fried fish was great; good amount of fish and not too much batter. I'll definitely be back. Don't forget tartar sauce!
