While HEEMO sushi came highly recommended, I unfortunately cannot offer the same praise. There are several other sushi restaurants in the area that provide a far superior experience.
To start on a positive note, the staff at HEEMO was friendly, and we were seated quickly without any wait. Additionally, the prices were reasonable.
However, my experience was marred by several issues. First, our order was incorrect; the staff mistakenly placed the wrong dishes at our table. After bringing this to their attention, we noticed they simply served our intended order to another table. When our rolls finally arrived, they fell apart as we tried to lift them with chopsticks, and the fish was chewy and didn’t taste fresh. Furthermore, our waitress seemed to forget about us entirely, as she did not check in to see if we needed anything or offer to refill our drinks.
Based on these experiences, I would not recommend HEEMO sushi to others.

Stellar food, we in Orange County are so lucky to have this restaurant service us. The food is absolutely delicious. We ordered pick up for sushi, rolls & soup. We dealt with Sydney who was very helpful and had our order ready when promised. Food was EXCELLENT!! To go containers were all environmentally friendly, no Styrofoam. So happy we found this place and will not be visiting our prior sushi place anymore!
Fantastic first-time experience. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be returning.

Heemo is hell no! The sushi was mid. The toro was a screaming disaster! It was much too fatty with superfluos gold flakes and tasted inedible. Service lacked courtesy as they couldn’t be bothered.

We came here to watch the Dodgers game and to try this newish restaurant. The sushimi was very fresh and tasty, but I’m not sure about the slicing technique here. The sushis were thinner but bigger than those found in Japan (and a few slices had uneven thickness, but it’s not a big deal for me). The rolls were good as well. We also had the avocado fries, which basically were avocado tempuras. They were excellent.
Vegetarian options: Some veggie selections, but most don’t go to a sushi place to eat veggies unless they were deep fried as in tempuras.
Parking: Plenty of parking on this side of Costco.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, saw a few kids having a good time eating here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, the aisle was wide enough.
