The best sushi in a 30 mile range. We've been hunting for a place to replace this for us but nothing comes close. The food is phenomenal, just the right levels of flavor and spice and clearly crafted lovingly by an artist. Seems to be a small family owned restaurant and the cashier is friendly after a few visits.

Was the worst experience I have had. The older woman who works here is extremely rude and harrassed me for a tip before I even finished my food! Will not be back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Honestly the food was decent but the lady was so rude and hostile that I will not be returning. I paid 15 bucks for a small bowl and she refused to give me a packet of Sriracha sauce . She kept saying “ no you pay for it”. Her customer service is crappy.

I was extremely disappointed with the service during my recent visit. I’ve been a regular customer, but this experience made me feel like I didn’t belong in the restaurant. I began placing my order, but the waitress—who I believe is also the owner—walked away in the middle of it without explanation, which I found strange and disrespectful.
When she returned, she simply brought water and never once asked if I wanted wasabi, anything to drink, or any extras. Her attitude felt cold, dismissive, and standoffish, despite the fact that I was polite and pleasant throughout the interaction. It truly felt like she didn’t want me there.
This level of service was not only disappointing but made me question whether I’ll return. As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect.

They open at 11 and me and my family got there at 11:40 and she told us to wait 20 minutes because they’re still opening. After we ate our food my husband approached the cash register to pay which he did and then she got mad saying “excuse me where is my tip?” In all my 30 years of life I’ve never had someone ask for their tip. I was getting ready to leave her tip on the table but she aggressively requested for her 15% tip from my husband. Don’t recommend dining in or you’ll get harassed for a tip.
A small but welcoming place. Fast and top quality Sashimi. Ample parking and a quiet atmosphere. Glad I found this gem.

The food is good but the service is bad. They only have one cook and they were backed up on orders. The owner told me it would take 25 minutes for me to wait for them to even take the order and another additional 15 to make it

Came on Memorial Day and the place was not full. Service was awful, there was only the cook and an older lady as the server. I had to tell her we were ready to order. The lady was cooking to help cook. The sushi was good but my low review is because of the attitude we got for leaving a low tip and she asked for more. Tipping should reflect the service and attention you receive not just bring the food to the table.
Also! No alcohol served.

KAI Sushi is an amazing restaurant. We love going to family owned businesses and supporting them. We were in Orange County and wanted sushi and found KAI. We live an hour away and will definitely be going back. The place is very clean and looks like they just opened yesterday after 16 years in business. My son even made a little friend with the owner’s granddaughter while we were eating. Thank you for the amazing food and great service. We look forward to our next visit!

I come in here regularly, today is my final visit.After placing my order, the cashier comes to me and asks "are you dining in here?" I said yes. Then she proceeds to say because the last time you didn't leave a "tip". They are requiring me to leave a tip every time I come here as if I don't spend more than enough when I come here.For all of you reading this, let me just say yeah I have left a tip here and there, but these guys are over doing it. A "tip" is an option not mandatory.
