Been here twice and both time it was outstanding. Large portions, decent prices and lots of island authenticness. I really like the pork belly combo plate and had it with kalbi one time and teriyaki beef another. Both were excellent, but I prefer the teriyaki beef because the use bits of flank steak or something like that so it's higher quality than your average teriyaki beef and has a great steak flavor. The macaroni salad is also a little different as they put some different seasonings in it that make it really interesting and tasty. As someone who has family from Hawaii, I'll definitely I'll be back.

Came in a little before 730pm on a Tuesday. Cashier said the furikake garlic chicken was popular so my wife ordered a bowl of that and two teriyaki beef bowls for my kids. I ordered a furikake chicken plate, two spam musubi for the kids, and 5 malasadas. She told us they closed at 8pm and encouraged us to order it to go, after asking if we wanted to eat it there or to go. She didn't repeat the order and sort of walked off as I was paying. It came out to $67. Didn't get a receipt.

The food came out and it was missing my wife's order ... It had the two teriyaki bowls and one plate of furikake chicken. I asked the cashier if we only ordered three meals and she gave me a blank look, checked the ticket, and confirmed there were only three meals. Based on the price we paid, I did the mental calculation and realized she hadn't punched in my wife's order for the furikake chicken bowl. It was a weird interaction of her not even remembering or even acknowledging that she messed up (did she not remember the entire conversation my wife has with her about what to order). We ended up just eating the three food items that were delivered instead of ordering more. The food was okay but a little too sweet for our liking and the oil that was used to fry the chicken tasted old. The malasadas were fresh but not as fluffy as Leonard's in Waikiki ... But that's a pretty high bar.

Waikiki Hawaiian up the street is much dingier (and maybe dirtier inside! Haha) but the food is better and has larger portions. Personally, I would hit up poke district up the street from here 10/10 times for local Hawaiian food (well, just poke... But it's awesome!).

Keoni Island food has self serve water, utensils, and a couple bottles of sriracha for folks dining in. The place was clean. Not a lot of seats but we were able to grab a few tables for our family of 5. The customer service was kind of meh. I get it was the end of the day and maybe it was a bad day. Nothing about this dinner visit was especially great and so we will not be back.

Great little plate lunch place in a strip mall in Villa Park. BBQ chicken plate was on point, furikake chicken was a tad too much soy sauce but still good. Mac salad and Cole slaw were very good.

Loco Moco is bomb. Fried Rice is not local style. Has a sweetness which is off. Like they’re adding Teri sauce instead of just soy sauce. Would not recommend it

HAD to stop here before returning to Philadelphia for their AMAZING Hawaiian BBQ! Everything here is DELICIOUS. The pork belly, the beef the chicken! The owner was even so kind as to grant us an order of their pork belly fries which were delicious! 10/10 recommended!

Great teriyaki sauce. Heavy soy sauce flavor which I like. Would make your shoe taste good.

The garlic furkikake is the best, but make sure to leave space for their Hawaiian donuts. So fluffy and delicious.

This is a very casual Hawaiian food place in a strip mall. The food is very good, and the service is even better
