I greatly enjoyed my fat juicy hamburger, atmosphere and glass of wine with my friend, after visiting my surgeon at UCI Medical Center and taking a break from my SNF in Anaheim!

Grabbed lunch with a friend and started a little rough. The restaurant was not busy, still took about 15 minutes to have someone take our drink order. Then she brings out two rolls... two! Once I finished my roll I asked for a refill on the rolls so I could enjoy some with my meal. She brings out two rolls again. The worst part of this experience was the food. Dry dry dry! I'm in the hospitality business I know when to take a loss and toss it. It's called quality control. I ordered the brisket, baby back ribs and tri-tip and they were very very dry. It's this location specifically that has horrible service and food. Even when it was a takeout-only restaurant. Rancho or Brea still has great food.

Lunch was great, Jambalaya was spicy the way I like it.
This time I went with the Southern fried chicken lunch. Chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. Always good.

Food has gone downhill lately, either appearing from the day before or dry and/or tough.

This was a very disappointing meal. I have loved Lucille's for years but lately the quality, accuracy and experience have lacked. We ordered take out and we're missing key components of our meal and sad to say this is not the first time from this location. The entire brand is slipping after years of being a go to celebration spot this will probably be off my list.

First of all, April took care of us incredibly well, it was the best thing of the night. The food was delicious, the brisket had a good flavor but it could have been juicier, softer. Dessert yes or yes you must order it.

Thanksgiving is a time for warm, comforting meals shared with loved ones, but my experience at Lucille’s on Chapman and Louis Street was anything but. It was a holiday disaster that left me frustrated and without a meal to enjoy.
Food Quality:
The food was absolutely appalling. The turkey, the centerpiece of a Thanksgiving meal, was served cold and tasted as if it had been sitting out for far too long. The gravy, which should be rich and smooth, was thick and chunky, further proof of how long it had been neglected. To make matters worse, not everything that was promised on the menu was served.
The mac and cheese, which I was looking forward to, was almost laughable. It barely had any noodles, and what little there was felt overcooked and mushy. It was clear that no care or effort went into preparing the dishes, leaving me deeply disappointed on a day when food should be the highlight.
Customer Service:
The service was equally terrible. When I politely brought up my concerns about the food, I was met with rudeness rather than understanding. Instead of addressing my complaint or trying to make the situation right, the staff dismissively told me to go back to my seat, offering no resolution or apology. The lack of courtesy and basic customer service was shocking, especially on a holiday when people are supposed to feel welcomed and cared for.
Overall Experience:
This visit left me so dissatisfied and unwelcome that I ultimately left the restaurant entirely, with nothing to eat on Thanksgiving. Lucille’s not only failed to provide a warm, enjoyable holiday meal but also demonstrated a lack of respect for their guests.
Final Thoughts:
Lucille’s completely missed the mark on what Thanksgiving is about—good food and good company. Cold turkey, chunky gravy, a half-empty menu, and dismissive service made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Lucille’s to anyone, especially during the holidays.
Rating: 0.5/5
Lucille’s needs to rethink how they prepare and serve their meals, as well as how they treat their customers. No one should have to leave a restaurant on Thanksgiving hungry and upset.

OK had a great time with the family the service was exceptional and the food was good. Lucille's stained true to their old school menu which is just a little bit too dry for today. It'd be great if they came up with a new up-to-date menu

They serve you a basket of butter biscuits with apple butter and that was so AMAZING.
The Smoked BBQ Nachos was amazing the biscuit was delicious, tender and mouthwatering.
Only complaint was I wish the cheese was more cheesy-er. The gumbo was rich in flavor and fill me up.

Parking was very easy. The restaurant is beautiful nice decorated Texas Vibes.
