Horrible customer service. Rude, snobby staff.
1st time here during lunchtime. Only 3 other tables. Ordered a side salad and cup of soup. Awhile passed before I went to the counter to ask them to please bring them out. Took a bit for the chicken pesto pizza to come as well, which was dry. My friend wanted a side of ranch for her pizza ($2 for a tiny cup 1/2 the size of a shot glass). Service was pretty non-existent. The crew stayed in the back mostly. Several people picking up to go orders had to knock on the kitchen door for them to finally come out. BE AWARE THEY CHARGE A “HEALTH AND WELLNESS” 3% charge to all orders to help “pay their employees”. A single, small sign at the end of the bar notifies you of this hidden charge.
First time there. Service was great and the food was amazing. Happened to be happy hour which worked out perfectly.
Awful experience. Me and my friends came in to order a drink and a pizza to go. The lady behind the bar with large earrings was very unhappy that we even talked to her. She said we close in 6 minutes! I said “okay we just want a quick drink and a pizza to go.” She fumed at us and stormed into the kitchen not to return. The cook behind the window seemed embarrassed by her behavior. I don’t know why anyone would dine at this Pitfire location if that is how customers are treated and management thinks that’s okay. If I walked in to any restaurant and an employee said “unfortunately we’re closed for the evening. “ I won’t bat an eye and move on. But she was so mad we walked in with 6 minutes before close she just walked away. Sad how low Pitfires’ service has become.
Went there for lunch. The place was supposed to be open at 11 and it wasn’t at 1113. Multiple people walked away at 1105. We rerouted back. The lady was miserable who was working. Seemed irritated we were there. Not friendly at all. While waiting for our food she was in the back and a couple more people came in and waited a couple minutes and walked out. This lady is literally costing them money. But whatever, pizza was ok.
Great place to enjoy a tasty pizza, before heading to a baseball game or an event at the Honda Center
The sides are where it’s at! Salads and Brussels sprouts were amazing, pizza was not the highlight but service was surprisingly good and atmosphere was fun for a group of friends!
pizza is delicious and wings are fantastic
The most awesome wings you'll have @ a pizza place

FYI: they add a 3 percent charge to all orders. I have no problem tipping workers, and am glad to. But the owners should be taking care of their
Employees. Says optional but you won’t see it unless you ask for a receipt.
I have been here twice and the food is good, the toppings on the pizza aren’t evenly distributed. Service has been great both times, the employees are kind and helpful. Not sure if I would
Be back considering the company’s business practice.

This highly anticipated experience was a disappointment.
We originally found Pitfire Pizza mentioned and highly recommended in a Los Angeles travel book and were happy to see a location in Orange.
We visited on a Sunday evening (5 PM) to a mostly empty restaurant.
The ordering experience was very confusing. Food is very secondary at a place called “Pitfire Pizza” - the only posted menus on the wall are for alcohol, and there are none (neither printed nor QR code) at the table. No servers guide you to be seated. A female behind the counter simply directed us “I can help you over here when you’re ready to order.” We had a larger order for our hungry party of 5, and all of it was placed at the bar counter.
We were given a paper number, and then our food later came out one item at a time. One item was incorrectly made, and the server debated with my dad about it. His correctly ordered item came out much later. No adjustments to our bill were offered, nor did a manager check on us.
The most frustrating part of the experience was the false advertising of one of the menu items: I ordered an “Heirloom Tomato Succotash,” and what I received was a sautéed mixture of grape tomatoes with a few other veggies. (Grape tomatoes and heirloom tomatoes are two different things and command wildly different price points.) Even after letting it cool before tasting, one of the grape tomatoes exploded in my mouth, launching hot tomato lava on my palate and altering my taste for the remainder of the meal.
The pizza was truly “mid” and sadly neither met nor exceeded expectations. For its avg. $20 price point, you are so much better off going to Blaze Pizza or The Pizza Press for a comparable atmosphere at nearly half the price.
To add insult to injury, the restaurant automatically adds a 3% surcharge to your bill before tax and tip. They claim this imposed fee is to offer benefits to their employees; please note these benefits are only offered to full time employees. They claim this fee is optional and can be removed from your bill, but this creates an awkward relationship with the staff before your food is even prepared, and you are guilted into agreeing to it rather than the restaurant building it into their already high product price.
Would not return nor recommend.
Parking: Parking is largely available near the movie theater or by the Chili’s on the corner, but very few spaces directly outside the restaurant.
