I was really looking forward to trying out their Pumpkin Maple Pecan cold brew so I dragged my friend along on Sunday morning. We got there a bit past 10a. My friend ordered a Chai Latte. When she was done ordering, the cashier looked at me and said "and for you?" I was still scanning the menu since I didn't see the cold brew listed on it. I said, "oh i'm still looking at the menu." At which point my friend hands him her card insinuating that we were going to order separately, to which he then rudely tells her "I still need to know what he wants" referring to me. At this point, I felt rushed and unwelcome. I find the cold brew listed on a flyer taped to the counter and tell him I'd like to order that; he says they're out of cold brew & so I decided to not order anything else. From a customer standpoint, I think the cashier could have been a bit more courteous and asked us "are you two paying together our separate?" instead of coming off rude and bothered that we walked into the shop. My friend had her chai latte, to which she said she's had better. I didn't get the cold brew and, based on the customer service received, I definitely won't be returning to try it.

The staff is very pleasant. Also, the strawberry-topped cake is delectable. They had a cup of coffee that wasn't too strong.

We went to Portola over the weekend of Chapman's graduation. We were very happy with the service and the coffee itself. The staff was ready and willing to answer questions and accommodate special needs. Of course, they also made the lovely heart that so many coffee shops make and express (or espress) the extra love to customers :-).

Walked in this past Saturday afternoon with my wife. The lone guy "working" there was glued to his phone and busy texting someone while I stood in front of him for about 10 seconds before he bothered to look up. He didn't say a word, just looked at me. I ordered two iced lattes. He still didn't say a word but turned the touchscreen around so that I would tip him, which I did (but wish I hadn't). He walked away and pulled what I believe to be only one double shot of espresso which he split between two of our cups. While the espresso was pulling, he went back to his phone and resumed texting. He poured the hot espresso directly into our plastic cups which I've never seen done before, as it would melt the plastic. Then the milk and ice were added. He handed them to me without saying a word and then walked away back to his texting. The photo doesn't do it justice- these were the worst lattes we've ever had. Very weak espresso that could barely be tasted. It tasted like he split one double shot between two drinks rather than pulling two sets of double shots for the two drinks. This didn't taste like any other Portola I'd ever been to (Tustin, Costa Mesa) and was worse than Starbucks. The guy clearly didn't want to be working.

I used to love going to Portola to get their coffee. Unfortunately their aeropress coffee machines haven't been fixed in over a year. If I was able to get coffee here again I would definitely go much more often.

This coffee shop was the best! They have the best coffee available and even some fresh baked goods as well. The ambiance of this shop was so relaxing, and the staffs are highly capable. All of them are very responsive every time I asked questions. The shop was also very cleaned. A strong recommendation for you! Cheers!

Top-notch coffee shop! Yesterday, I came here to taste their Vanilla Bean Latte and their Chocolate muffins. I like the ambiance because it was so relaxing. I thanked their staff for serving my order within 3 minutes. Very affordable and relaxing coffee shop! I should highly recommend them to my friends!

All of my questions were answered gently to my full satisfaction. I find it very classy here. It is a good meeting point for business people. Highly recommended!

I went to Portola to grab some coffee and study-- indoor dining is now open and there's free wifi, socially distanced tables, and TVs running. Overall, a great hangout and study spot! I got an iced vanilla latte, and the coffee had a unique, sweet flavor. Although I would've liked it better if the latte was thicker or if the coffee flavor was stronger, I really enjoyed it. The barista was very friendly, but he wasn't wearing a mask. Overall, I had a positive experience and would come back!

Came here last Saturday morning. Ordered a rose latte with almond but was given the suggestion to use oat milk instead. It was delicious. Great service and a great place to relax and enjoy an early morning latte.
I'm not really a coffee drinker but when I had a cup of their Mocha Cafe... I am hooked! The best coffee I have ever had and it does the job of boosting my whole day with energy! Never again will I drink any other coffee!

The flat brown is my favorite!! Pricing is a little high for a latte but worth it if you're like me and planning on sitting inside studying or working for over an hour. The vibes are great and the baristas are always nice. Clean bathrooms too!

I wanted a quick and delicious pick me up. So I dropped in to Provisions to grab an espresso at Portola. I ordered a double shot with a splash of cold soy milk. Espresso was bitter almost sour. Tastes as if the espresso machine or handles had not been properly washed. Bummer, cause I wanted to like this place better than Starbucks.

I just paid $9.00 for a iced latte with almond milk. The menu says 4.50 plus a buck for almond milk. Not only I got over charged but i said iced and got hot. Geez
