The food has always been good from Royal Thai Orchid, this was not different. The yellow curry I ordered was tasty but they cut the vegetables to large and had little chicken, which is why I gave them a 4 star.

So I ordered drunken noodles from Lanta down the street last week and from here this week....light-years apart! Royal Thai is legit! Excellent drunken noodles made the way it should be! Great service too!

Ordered Tom Yum, Thai spicy, with shrimp:
- Really nice level of heat (I ordered it very spicy), and there were no Thai chili pepper pods I had to fish out, so that's good, and they provided extra ground Thai chilis on the side. 👍👍
- fresh mushrooms, not canned, good amount 👍👍
- heat, sourness, amazingly delicious tasting broth, hint of sweetness to contrast the bold hot and sour flavors. All the wonderful tastes melded together, lime, cilantro, galangal, lemon grass, so completely developed and full flavored 👍👍 👍
- giant shrimp, tails on, so tender and delicious and lots of them. 👍👍👍
Bottom line, I've been hunting for the best Tom Yum in SoCal, and I have found it at Royal Thai Orchid. I was settling before, now, never more. Makes me REALLY want to taste their other menu items. Just ordered Tom Yum for the 4th time in the past week (yes, I am obsessed and yes, it's that good), but this time I ordered some stuffed chicken wings as well. Will be amazing I'm sure. 😁

Delicious and friendly staff!

I've tried many Thai spots in the city of orange, but out of all them, this has been my favorite.
What i love is that they pride themselves on making really flavorful whilst keeping the flavors nicely balanced. Definitely pay attention when asked about the spice levels they do a really good job about it. I love spicy food and got several dishes medium plus, I enjoyed them very much. However, going back next time, I will probably order a lower level of spicy. Love their papaya salad with medium spice. Their egg rolls are killer. All in all, I can keep going on about this place. It's definitely worth at least trying it once. Staff is super friendly 👌.
