I'd never been to a place that pre-slices their fish. Poor quality fish at that.If you like eating at Moreno's, then this is the sushi place for you.

Nice, food is good, fresh ingredients, large selection but sushi dishes are very similar in taste.when there was a "full house" situation with small staff, so service lacked a bit. Will go back to try something besides sushi and see if service is better.

This is one of my favorite places to get sushi, but I live 3000 miles away from it. I make sure to get it every single time I visit my Aunt in California - it's mandatory! Giant portions of quality fish, creative rolls, and wonderful friendly staff slinging complementary salad and soup with most meals. Their portions of ginger and wasabi are more than enough; I never have to ask for more where I usually have to at other sushi restaurants. Even though it's a plain plaza on the outside you'll find cozy seating and and and awesome view of the sushi chefs at work. Give them a try!

Sakuraya in Orange provided a delightful dining experience for my family of nine. Despite our spontaneous visit, the hostess quickly found us a table. The restaurant's atmosphere was pleasant, and we enjoyed appetizers like edamame before delving into flavorful signature rolls, including the dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, and Hawaiian California roll. The children and adults were pleased with the diverse menu, and Japanese beers were a favorite among the adults. The establishment's cleanliness, ample parking, and the insight into its family-owned nature, shared by the friendly staff member Debbie, added to the positive experience. If you're in Orange and craving sushi, Sakuraya is a recommended choice. You won't be disappointed!

The sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls and great appetizers are our favorites. The service is great. We usually do take out. It only takes about 30 minutes. I highly recommend sakuraya.

Tempura is my favorite. It is always prepared with fresh oil with no aftertaste and is not greasy. I have eaten here for the last several years and have only praise for their top notch fresh foods.

Wonderful food all around. I enjoyed the wide variety of sushi rolls you could order without rice since I don't eat rice. My son loved his teryaki beef. It just took quite a while to get it compared to the sushi. They gave complementary ice cream after the meal too.

Sorry I am not a fan. The quality of the fish is a C and the skill set of the chefs are mediocre at best. All their specialty rolls seem to emanate from a fake crab California roll with variations of fish on top.The take away from sitting at the sushi bar is the chef is distracted by the table orders and any take out orders to prioritize a customer who is sitting right in front of him. Plus with no personality, a conversation is short and difficult. Sad since this place is so close to home but this is my take on Sakurayuk.

Sakuraya is a hidden gem.Located in a smaller sized shopping center, it's pretty easy to miss when driving by. Every time I've been the food has been excellent. Fish is fresh, and service is amazing!

3.5/5 stars Came here on a Thursday night for dinner. No wait and plenty of parking. The inside of the restaurant was cozy, and the wait staff was pretty attentive. We ordered the salmon belly sushi ($7.50 for 2 pieces), the snapper sushi ($5.50 for 2 pieces), the super albacore roll ($15.95), chapman roll ($14.95), and the Elvis roll ($15.95). They gave us each a complimentary salad and miso soup so that was nice. The salmon belly and snapper sushi were solid. The rice to fish proportion was heavy on the rice side. The rice was also not fresh and was on the hard side. The rolls here are on steroids! Definitely some of the largest rolls I've ever seen, so two rolls would have been enough for the two of us. My bf ate most of the super albacore roll since I don't like cream cheese, so I can't comment on this one. The chapman roll had deep fried soft shell crab, so this one was quite tasty, but definitely heavy. There was a generous amount of avocado on top, which I liked. The Elvis roll was basically a large clump of imitation crab with seared albacore on top. I missed the chili pepper sign on the menu, so I was a little surprised by the spicy kick. The albacore was a large, generous piece. Overall, I wouldn't say this place has the highest quality sushi, but for the price and size, it's quite decent!

This is THE go-to spot for sushi. Their udon noodles are not salty like most places. Hands down the freshest fish in the world. Unless you goto Japan.Everyone who works here is very happy and that lady in the front always has a smile. This is a great family restaurant as well as do you want to take someone on a date.
