We stayed at the Ayres Orange and after a long day we didn't want to drive anywhere. We saw the many positive reviews for Spoons so we thought we'd give it a try. It's a seat yourself area and they had one waitress. There was only us and another couple. The waitress was quick to come take our order and the service was nice enough. The prices are high and not really worth it. We spent $75 not including tip for three people. We ordered the fettuccini with chicken (a $6 charge to add chicken), chicken tenders, and fish and chips. We also got a sprite and glass of wine. The sprite was fine and the wine was nothing to write home about. The chicken that came with the fettuccini tasted weird, I'm not sure how to explain it but it wasn't good. The chicken tenders were good you can't really mess those up. The fish was ok and the chips tasted off. There was some music playing and you could hear the cooking going on in the back. Dinner is in the same place as breakfast and all they do is pull down a shade to cover the breakfast area. Not a big deal though. The more expensive things on the menu were the salmon and the steak which were $30. Not worth it in my opinion.

It's good for hotel food. The avocado blt is delicious with its Parmesan encrusted bread. The chips & guac were good. The pizza was pretty bad, but it what i expected by the photo of it at the restaurant entrance. Everything was priced a couple dollars too high for the quality or size of what you get. Both times we went during our stay they were understaffed so our service was poor. But it's convenient and decent enough so if you are staying here and tired just go. Do not drive out of your way to come to this restaurant.

Spoons @ Ayres is a hidden gem and outstanding value for the hotel quests and the surrounding community. The meals are phenomenal and the service is excellent and second to none. Truly a first class experience. Shout out to Chef ??? Omar! He is an amazing and talented chef who is only going to continue to shine ✨. This was a welcome surprise after three very long days in Orange. It was nice to come "home" to the the Ayres Hotel and Spoons Bar and Grill. Even with so many food options in the area, Spoons was a perfect way to unwind. It was like having your own personal chef. Omar was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Next time I am in Orange, I will be staying at the Ayres Hotel and will have Omar take care of my dinners.

Superb experience! Omar was nothing short of amazing. Tasty afternoon drinks with excellent freshly made guacamole. We made a point to return for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Omar's drinks were again on point. Main course of salmon was perfectly prepared and artistically plated. A simply superb dining experience. This restaurant is a gem hidden inside the Ayres Hotel. Well worth a visit!

What an unexpected gem to find within a hotel. The ambience, the service, and the food are simply outstanding. Omar's customer service is personal and authentic and it shows that he loves his occupation. I had the shrimp skewers and they were utterly delish. Fresh veggies cooked to perfection. Oh did I mention the amazing cocktail? The mango jalapeno margarita and Long Island iced tea are fabulous. No, not getting paid for this review, just acknowledging a great place with fab staff. Oh and the music is cute too. Would absolutely recommend...

I can not say enough good things… Omar is the BEST. He remembered me from one time dining and asked about my mother and daughter. He made the perfect Margarita and the tequila pasta… YUM!

Yes! We had dinner while staying at Ayres. The food was fresh and flavorful. We had the ribeye Tacos and fish and chips. Try the guacamole!

We ate here and loved the food. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. The teriyaki mushroom burger was soo good. Big meat patty and yummy sauce with big fresh leaf lettuce. The nachos were soo good. Fresh toppings and real melted cheese. The buffalo crispy chicken salad was soo good. Fresh crispy lettuce and ingredients with tasty mix of flavors. The pepperoni pizza was homemade and came out on a big pan. You can tell nothing is frozen.The tradeoff: you have to wait along time for your food. We sat what seemed like 45 mins for our food. We loved the food so that deadened our frustration ultimately, but if service was faster it would make this place a absolute home run!
