Taco Mesa Tortilleria Organica & Cafe

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday...I try a new place every week. Crispy tacos, potato, chicken and beef. Flavors were good, potato was the best. Dined in and restaurant was about half full about 1pm. Server was nice but I think the charging system that asks for gratuities is inappropriate when ordering at the counter, carrying your food and bussing your own table and getting your own soda, napkins, salsa etc... no tip is earned by just taking your order and calling your name when ready. Salsa bar good but no salsa Verde, my favorite. Was not served chips, went back thinking they'd be complimentary but they charged over $3.00, yikes...no bueno! Got Taco Tuesday pricing on Tacos but charged almost $5.00 for a soda, wow! So over $8.00 for just soda and chips, almost as much for the three tacos...THAT'S probably a $7.00+ profit, ridiculous! Tacos were worth the $3.00 plus each for Discount Taco Tuesday but would be very overpriced at $6.00+ each, they're regular price. All in all an OK experience but I won't go back due to the prices. I realize restaurants need to make a profit to stay in business but this is the ONLY restaurant in Orange that I've been charged for chips...very bad marketing.

Used to be the best horchata ever!!!!!! Sadly it's not the same anymore I got one at mesita in tustin today and was disappointed, so I went to the one in orange because that one is perfect always, but it was worse tasted like caramel water and condensed milk. No horchata flavor, Please fix!!!!!!

Ordered the steak Burrito was expecting a better tasting burrito then what I got. The steak was tough with no flavor. Took 3 bites and threw it away in the trash. Can't believe I paid almost $18.00 for that trash. Customer was Good though. Definitely not coming back. For that price was expecting a better tasting Burrito

Everything is always fresh! The service is friendly. They have a unique spin on many items. Prices went up it seems however those are the times we are in as rents are high everywhere! Give it a try!

Very tasty, and a Coca-Cola shop (unlike its siblings further south that serve Pepsi products). Organic tortillas and lots of veggies, muy yum!

I’ve been going here since I was a kid before they expanded and everything I have had has been delicious. My go to meal is the alambre tacos. I highly recommend them with the green salsa if you can handle a little spice.

Came today to get food I live far from here spent $60 dollars for 5 tacos 1 burrito. I get my order after waiting 30 mins expecting the order to be right wasnt that complicated. Get home and im missing 2 tacos that are maybe worth 8-10 dollars each. I call to see what i can do a lady named Irene first said i shouldve double checked the order and that they were busy but when i was there there was only like 6 people eating. Not even a sorry was said. Thats what i did not like. That’s not my job to check my order if I paid what i ordered what an inconvenience. Poor customer service not worth it. Need more training on that how disappointing!

Worth the drive from Irvine!
My favorites are the Salmon tacos but there’s something for all of us. The recipes are unique and the food organic which is a plus.
