So good. Love their gobernador tacos! They have quality asada, not full of fat, but cooked with lots of flavor. Great burritos too.

Although I have lived in East Orange for 35 years this was my first visit to El Picosito. Here are some pros and cons:Pros: The food is pretty good. The Taco / Enchilada plate was well seasoned and competently prepared. The presentation was pretty nice too. I like the big windows with a good view of Chapman. I don't like eating in caves, but maybe that's just me. They have good menu. It is pretty hard to find Gorditas but it's on the menu here. Cons:The music is really loud. The clerk had a hard time hearing our order. It was hard to chat with my wife. Pricing is a little high. I notice in the menu photos on Yelp that the plate orders have gone up recently by over 10%. I get it, labor and ingredient costs have gone up. That being said, this is a competitive market and I am not seeing anything special enough to fully justify the price. --------------Will we go back? Probably for takeout. The loud music was a bit much.

How did I not know about this place. Trying new places I never know if it's safe. Came on Taco Tuesday and the street tacos are $1.50! They have 5 types and 2 is cow head! I wasn't brave enough to try it though. Looks like they have fish tacos too and it's the special for Monday/Wednesday, I'll have to go back and try! I tried the carne asada and Al pastor. But I also ordered chips and salsa which were free! Wow! What a little gem! They have so many options so definitely worth a visit! SYOY!!

Had tacos (Asada/Pastor/Chorizo) and a side of rice and beans. The Asada was good, the Pastor was average and the chorizo was overcooked (dry). The rice was spanish rice (cooked in chicken stock and tomato juice) and was really good. The beans were refried (with pork lard likely) and was the best item I ordered. The wait time for the take out was really long (30 minutes).Wheelchair accessibility: The tables could be easily be adjusted for wheelchair accessibility.

They open really early! Been here twice to pick up breakfast burritos, (chorizo and carne asada and the basic breakfast burrito.) Always delicious and fresh. Place is kept very clean and there's usually a long line on weekday morning, but if you are ordering from the menu and not coffee/bread then go straight to cashier. Reason -1 star is the ridiculous price of sour cream and guacamole when ordered on side, should just pick it up at market instead. Enjoy!

The burritos I have ordered have been so delicious. One of the best bacon breakfast burritos I've enjoyed. The crispiness of bacon was rich and delicious nice proportion to eggs and potatoes inside. Love their green salsa but the red is delicious hot also. I have had carnitas burrito also rich in porky crispiness deliciousness. Carnitas tacos are delicious also wrapped in warm corn tortillas. Service is quick food prepared well with extensive menu and specials. Ambiance is clean contemporary Mexican with multiple tv screens for sporting events and a bar counter you can sit at.

They do tacos very very well. Their taco Tuesday is the best in town for sure. But our favorite night is Monday because they do a special on their fish tacos which are amazing. Don't pass up the green salsa it's amazing! Their rice and beans are very authentic. Cute chill ambiance.
