My husband and I came to The Hobbit for my birthday, and it was such a special experience! The food was great- every course felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The whole evening was truly unique. But what made it even better was our bartender and server, Alexander. He was so knowledgeable about the wine pairings, and his kindness and attention to detail really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about making the night memorable.

The food was impeccable, and the conversations that we had with each other in this environment, held a special moment for us. From start to finish, the dining experience is something special and unique. The restaurant is a beautiful historic home in Orange. The cocktail hour takes place in the wine cellar. The meticulously crafted cocktails are delicious. We were surprised with a small snack to enjoy while there. Once the dinner service started, we were brought to an intimate room to enjoy the feast. Each course is well executed. The wine pairings were perfectly executed.

Restaurant is a good place to go for special occasions. However, when paying that price, attention to detail is 100% important. Little things like our name misspelled on our name card or wrong wine pairing made me chuckle. I've been blessed in my life to have attended some of the best tasting menu restaurants in the country, and this place was good, but not best. It did offer a unique dining experience as you got to walk around during intermission, meet the chef, tour the kitchen, etc. The building has a lot of historical context to the region of Orange, CA, so that is neat. I loved how all the servers knew their menu and what they were serving, including little details about where things are from or produced. My steak was cooked to perfection. Don't get me wrong, it was a good experience, but I think little tweaks could make take this place to the next level.

The service was amazing and it is a unique experience. All staff was attentive and went beyond in making the dinner enjoyable. Do the wine pairing. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and made a great experience for my dad's birthday. My dad is also particular on how he likes his proteins cooked and it was great they executed perfectly on his particular request.

Ambiance and service was phenomenal. Definitely a place for a date night or special occasion. For me the food was okay. The main course (filet mignon) was cooked very well but felt like it was over salted. Even the broccoli was as well :( The three bites were also okay. Wish it had a little less cream cheese as I felt it over powered everything.
