I ordered my food without onions, black beans and their brown rice. I got none of those things. They took absolutely forever. I stood there for almost half an hour. I didn't get to eat my food because we were traveling and we already were on the freeway and didn't have time to go back and complain. The staff was friendly and not very helpful. Every question I asked seemed to be a chore.

If I could leave zero stars, I would their service here is terrible. We placed an online order and they got it completely wrong when I called them to complain. They put me on hold for over seven minutes and never came back then tried to say oh we had such a big line when I was in there there was nobody in there. That restaurant is dirty and their food sucks and they get the orders wrong. Don’t waste your money there.
It great. Its right in the circle so parking can be tricky. We'll worth it though. Service was great, food was great and it was clean.

Good food. Not too expensive. Get a large drink and bring your cup back the next time for a $1 drink.

Wahoo's Fish Tacos in Old Towne Orange, California, is a healthy haven that hits the spot! Their menu is packed with good-for-you options that don't skimp on flavor. We love daily and weekly specials. Especially in summer 🌞 time. 2025 has been a tasty year so far:))
Such a wonderful location.... peaceful and delicious.
Fish tacos and black beans original dish.
But the Banzai Bowl - it's a mountain of fresh veggies and brown rice topped with grilled fish or tofu is super popular for those with any dietary issues. Their fish tacos are legendary, and the Classic is my go-to. The fish is always perfectly grilled, and the cabbage mix adds a nice crunch. Sigg the pico de Gallo & salsa station near soda fountain machine.
Their drinks are top-notch too! They have a very unique ice packed chest into counter next to cash register with Mexican beers and sodas...has water, teas And other options. But the real star is the patio. It's huge, open, and surrounded by trees, like a cathedral of sunshine. There's always a nice breeze, and it's the perfect place to chill after a meal.
The staff are always super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome, especially people with disabilities. I've seen them help people with wheelchairs and walkers, and they always do it with a smile. I'm 1 of them:))
And the location is right in the heart of Old Towne Orange, in a beautiful plaza that's a National Landmark. You can see all kinds of historic buildings & Landmarks from the patio including Plaza ⛲ Park 🏞️ & Orange 🍊 Square ⏺️ .
Chill place to be. So if you're looking for healthy, delicious food in a beautiful setting, Wahoo's Old Towne Orange 🍊 is the place to go!

My wife really wanted fish tacos so I brought came to this place on our way home from long Beach. I bought 6 tacos and 1 burrito, $48 and change. The burrito was asada as recommended by the cashier.
The shrimp and fish tacos were okay, I liked the shrimp and my wife liked the fish. Not worth going out of your way for however.
The $15 rip off asada burrito was really big, topped with cheese and green and red sauce. The inside was stuffed with rice, black beans and 6 small pieces of asada. If I didn't live over an hour away I'd go back for a refund. What a joke, and if management cares about these reviews they'll reach out and give me a refund and I'll update this post.
Cool location. A bit of a challenge to find parking. Good was good. Shrimp Tacos are very good

Restaurantji Recommends
I’ve been going to Wahoos since the original one on 19th St in Costa Mesa. I love their fresh fish and it’s even better with the other plant based options. They have the best salsa and I always order extra for my meal. I also love the fact that you can get black beans and brown rice.
Fast service. Friendly cashier.
I expected much better from a place I have eaten at many times. The food was mediocre at best. The grilled fish taco was bone dry and cold. The fried fish tasted like a cold chicken tender and the shrimp taco was also subpar but vastly better than the other 2 tacos. I do not recommend this place even for nostalgia. Nothing tasted fresh it was all old and under temp even off a hot table.
We visit this Wahoo quite often. Ordered fish tacos plate and ..... Tonight's corn tortillas were too dry to chew, s bit of disappointed.
Food was decent but the service was not very good.
Parking totally sucks.
