“I seriously cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We were greated by a very friendly man who offered suggestions on the menu. He pleasantly asked if we were happy with our food. The food is AMAZING. I got a gyro wrap, my husband got a gyro platter. The portions were huge and absolutely delicious. My husband eats more food then you could imagine and it made him stuffed while not sacrificing quality or flavor. The meat just melted in your mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We got two baklavas and I cannot even explain how good they are.“

“It's been so difficult, post-pandemic, to find good, quality, delicious food places. This place gives me hope. Hands down some of the BEST food I've had at a kabob restaurant. No exaggeration. It's clear they use quality ingredients, and know how to cook. I legit had an emotional moment with my chicken kabob plate lol. The gyros are super yummy too. Definitely coming back, and definitely recommending them to anyone looking for a good gyro or kabob!“

“I have had a go to Gyro spot nearby and after multiple bad experiences I did a quick search near me and found this place. My wife and I ordered the gyro pita and gyro plate with a side of falafel. The person working at the restaurant was polite, the food was great, and it was affordable. Happy to have this new Gyro spot!

“I tried Nick the Greek and ordered the lamb and beef gyro combo. The food was decent overall, but the tzatziki sauce just didn’t hit the mark for me. I’ve had tzatziki from all over, and this one missed the freshness and flavor I expected. If you’re ordering, you might want to skip the tzatziki unless they change up the recipe—it could use a refresh or maybe a quick quality check. Aside from that, the fries were solid, and I’d give it a 4/5, hoping for an upgrade on that tzatziki next time.“

For the price you pay, the amount of food you get is phenomenal, you can really taste the freshness and the love that goes into making a plate and doing that consistently is amazing. “Really delicious gyro meat and sauce. And super friendly, kind staff. Have gotten gyro wrap there several times now. I think next time I will try a rice bowl or fries with the gyro meat, since the lettuce in the wrap gets soggy with the sauce, which is not very appetizing. Giving 4 stars because it's a little inconsistent. This last time there was a much smaller portion of gyro meat in the wrap. One time I ordered online, then went to pickup. The staff was super kind, and were very sorry that the online order didn't come through. They made my order very quickly for me, so no problem. Very close to a 5 star place.“

“This is the best restaurant in Gold River and one of the best in Sacramento, hands down. True hidden gem. My family has been going for years and we look forward to many lunches and dinners to come. Food is amazingly prepared and always fresh, great portions and quality- each plate could be $10 more expensive and I’d still happily pay. Don’t tell the owner. We love the atmosphere, great indoor and outdoor dining and always amazing service. If you don’t know about Z California Cuisine I feel bad for you!
