“Brought my family from the Bay Area to one of my gyro / shawarma spots out here in the Greater Sacramento area and everyone LOVED it. As soon as we walked in we could smell the spices and the juicy and fragrant smell of the cooked meats. We tried a little bit of everything though I’ve been several different times over the years. They also offered us what I believe may have been an off menu item they were sampling which was some kind of vegetable & chicken soup which was delightfully appreciated by us all.“

“The Mix Up food truck! I ordered the kabob plate of a ribeye kabob and a lamb kabob. Mmmm, the kabobs were delicious. Big, hunky cuts of tender, flavorful meat; all grilled to perfection. The folks working the truck were fantastic. Big, fun personalities.

What initially caught my eye was the very dramatic graphic design on the truck. It looked like a vintage movie poster with a woman in Mexican traditional garb and Arab man individually both looking contemplatively into the distance. As I walked closer, I found out they were selling Arab and Mexican food with their signature dish being their famous ribeye kabob.

I ordered the kabob plate. It came with two kabobs, rice, salad,hummus and pita bread. $22. Yup, that price point may have you thinking twice but I was able to get two meals out of this plate. The kabob serving size was huge. I chose the ribeye and lamb kabobs. Chicken was the other option. They weren't stingy on the protein serving. The meats are actual cuts of filets, not ground meat. It was tender, flavorful with a great grill to it. Instead of rice, I asked for double the salad. The salad was fresh tasting and vibrant looking. The hummus was packed with a garlicky punch.“

“Pulled over because I was running errands during my lunch break. Best decision I made all day. I got the spicy lamb gyro and it was delicious, warm, and packed with a lot of meat. It wasn't even that spicy as I had to ask before ordering it spicy because I love spicy food but a lot of places over do it . The nice lady at the window told me it wasn't that spicy and I went for it, brought it back to work and devoured it. I got one for my coworker and I was about to eat his because it was SOOO good. A little far from where I work but definitely worth the drive.“

“This was my second visit to Nick the Greek, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the gyro plate, and it was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. My son ordered the kids’ meal with the chicken kebab and fries, and he said it was really good.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making the overall experience even better. I’ll definitely be back again.

Only issue was there was a customer who was on speaker phone the entire time which made it a little annoying.“

“Food was brought out fast, so I assumed it was going to be sloppy. I was wrong, meat melted in my mouth as well as it being super flavorful, the bread pair well with the season fries and complemented the meal very well. Back total the bread it had a fluffy interior with a crispy exterior, flavor wise was decent but enchanced the overall meal. Decently priced as well, I am from the valley and eaten food similar to this and this was the first time in my life where I really enjoyed the meal. Would recommend to people who want to try new food.“
