This was our first visit to Far Western Tavern and there will be many more to follow. The design and ambience are wonderful and fit the name perfectly. Our service was outstanding and our food was delicious. Our evening was perfect! We cannot wait to return for another amazing meal!

Food was fantastic! We had a server, Jordan, who was delightful and accommodating. Took my 3 teenage grandsons who are big eaters and foodies and they said it was one of the best dinners they have ever experienced Highly recommend!

This was our tenth time eating at Far Western Tavern. The occasion was our wedding anniversary. The food is always very good, it does take a while to received the main coarse of the meal. The service has always been good but this time the waitress didn't attend us like she should have. The service was very slow and she forgot to serve us the shrimp cocktails that came with our meals. By the time we received the main coarse we were ready to go home. The twice baked potato is a must to order. This time also there was loud Spanish music playing upstairs which made it very difficult to have a conversation with the rest of our party. The parking this time around was very difficult to find a spot. The street parking was full for blocks and the side dirt parking, inconsiderate folks were blocking other cars making it impossible for one angry customer to leave the parking lot when we arrived. I didn't give rating less stars since the other visits were a lot better and they didn't have the loud music. This was the worst visit so far and it sucks that it happened on our anniversary. Our special day was perfect until this visit at the end of it, the next anniversary I will consider other local steak houses for a more romantic atmosphere and better parking.

We had a Romantic Valentines Dinner 🩷 The restaurant is authentically decorated like the original. We enjoyed Date night!!

Did not receive relish tray. Did not receive our appetizer. Steaks were super rare, not medium rare. Waiter forgot to bring refill he asked about. Did not receive bread. Disappointing experience.

Cannot say enough good comments about our dinner at Far Western Tavern on Valentine's Day!!!! Arrived and quickly taken to our booth, as requested, where we found two red roses on our cloth napkins. Beautiful way to begin our evening. Our server, Yasha, was fantastic throughout the evening. Her recommendations were spot on and, as first time diners, very much appreciated. She was special and so caring to ensure our dining experience was the best it could be. Do yourself a huge favor and ask for Yasha and you will have no regrets. Wonderful dining experience!!!!

Loved the tavern. Bullseye steak is grandiose. I've been a patron since 1965.

A Clever Name

Just to start. My service was great. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. However, my Bullseye ribeye was meh, very tough. Toughest ribeye I have ever had. Like sirloin tough. Which I'm sure it was. I know my meats and that was not a ribeye. Same goes for my Sam Houston bourbon. That was not a Sam Houston. Sam Houston is a Amber almost brown color . Not golden like Yellow Stone golden. With that being said. The ribs were delicious and is the only reason I would return.

My wife had the prime rib and I got the ribeye " bullseye steak". Both were the best we have had in forever. It ended up being $160 including a good tip. I don't and I can't do that all the time. But it was very nice for a special occasion for us. Reservation recommended. It got busy right after we arrived.

Best meal ever! Filet Mignon and twice baked potato and grilled lobster to die for. Creme Brulee for a fabulous finish! Can't forget the luscious clam chowder that was heavenly! Yasha our server was a doll! Thank you for my Dad's wonderful birthday meal. One for the record books!

This is an upscale western steakhouse. Staff is incredible, Jordan is the bomb and Andrea knows how to make a strong long island. That means she can mix a good drink of any kind, in my book. No fancy dress needed.

The tri-tip is amazing. It's like coming home having it. Reminds me so much of my childhood.

This place is *not* fast food. It's an experience worth having regardless.

If you want to try Santa Maria BBQ and can't find a grill on the side of the street, this is a good bet alternative.

My least favorite part: the beans. They under cooked them and there was not enough *flavor* in them. Considering these are a staple around here I expected them to do better.

The bay shrimp? Super fun and cute! I love the crunch of the celery

The salad: not just your basic Santa Maria ranch and lettuce salad, had a fancy watermelon radish slice

The bread: properly wood fire roasted

The Ravioli: amazing! Pretty sure they hand make these and my mouth waters remembering them

The lemon meringue tart: so pretty! Very big, share this guy.

Ice tea alert! Delicious ? they gave me tons of refills

Fun deco, def loud and overwhelming, so wear your loops if you are a fellow autistic

Vegetarian options: There is a oak fire roasted portabella mushroom
