“Lark and Sparrow with it’s antique decor, blackout interior and 80’s tunes playing gives a positive fun vibe that stands out from all other wine/beer bars. The selection of the wine includes European besides Californian. If you are into beers they also have a rotating fun selection that is great. I am currently having a pint of the Offering- Vienna Amber Larger and may move onto a Picpoul from France… who knows?”

“Loved the atmosphere! Stopped in on our way up north for work and the food was excellent service was friendly and coffee was on point! Try the Camaguey sandwich with turkey and guava jam… and their Moros y Cristianos was the best I’ve ever had! Beans were perfect and the rice tasted so moist almost like risotto. Great plantains.. I had the Cortadito coffee and it was delicious!”

“Love coming to hang out here! The atmosphere is really relaxed and they always have some awesome tunes playing. Live music frequently and rotating taps coupled with excellent staff and patrons, and tabletop games if you're interested. This was the first brewery we tried when we moved out here and have been coming back ever since.”

“I’m from Pasadena and missing the delicious food and restaurants, so when I found Uliveto’s I was so happy! I’m hooked on the clams in a white wine and garlic sauce with pasta. Dipping their delicious crunchy French bread in the sauce is divine! I came back a second time asking for their clams and it wasn’t on the menu, but the owner overheard my disappointment so asked the chef and they made them special for me.”

“For my second time being there, was a Friday night and one of the locals was telling me I was going to hell in a hand basket!! I told her she could come with me if she bought me a shot and a pitcher of beer!”

“Gina’s Piece of Cake has always been our go-to bakery, and they did not disappoint for our wedding last weekend. From the tasting a few months ago, to our cake cutting at the reception, the entire staff was phenomenal. And let me tell you about the cake! So delicious! Everyone asked where it was from and so many people came back for seconds. We had a scrumptious pink champagne sheet cake for our guests, and a perfect little 2-tier cake for our wedding party and photos. If you need sweet treats or baked goods, go see Gina! “This review is long overdue, but I love Orcutt Bakery. They made a beautiful cake for my sons birthday. The night before, one of my sweet children accidentally dropped a watermelon on the box while out shopping and completely destroyed the wording on the top. I am far from a baker or artist so my attempt to save it, only made it much, much worse. I meekly took it back the following day to ask if she could please try to fix it and I would pay whatever and she happily did so and refused to allow me to pay her anything more. It was so tasty and beautiful. Everyone at the party loved the cake and the customer service just made it so much better. I will forever be loyal to Orcutt Bakery.”
