I went through the drive thru, the guy taking my order was really nice, and the food was made very well with the proportions used and the freshness, and its temperature. It was about 10:30pm when I got the food, spot on guys! Thanks for that! I had the, "cheesy bean and rice burritos".“

“Small, family run, friendly Mexican restaurant in Guadalupe. Disappointed in my burrito as it was chucky-jamed-full of rice, which isn’t even a traditional ingredient in burritos. I was pretty sure of this fact, even so I ChatGPT’ed it: “Rice in burritos is an American innovation, specifically from Mission-style burritos that originated in California in the 1960s.” In the future I’m going to say, “Don’t make it California style!”
Closes at 4pm and is closed on Monday and Wednesday, odd but true.“

“First time here today. It is super clean the everyone was soooo friendly. I had the chicken fajitas and they were delicious, the chicken was super tender and the homemade tortillas were amazing. Their salsa is really good too. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend!!!“

“My husband had beef enchiladas and fried beef taco, he loved it he said it was very tasty and his a chip and salsa lover, loved the salsa, you can ask for more at no charge.. I ordered the aguachile shrimp, in any restaurant you usually get 12 shrimp this place was more like 3 dz. I could not finish them very tasty, I would recommend this place, their margaritas are blended and taste great. If you go to Santa Maria stop here for a bite.“

“First time here and I was surprised.
The place is nice, but its empty from the inside. Its somewhat quiet, so it's calm. The waiter was polite and gave us chips and salsa. She was really patient.
I ordered a quesadilla "herradero" which is pretty big and it has a wonderful taste. I feel like it was a reasonable price.
At the end the waiter gave us peppermints. :)“

“Fantastic, clean, hole in the wall Mexican place. Had a chicken burrito, which was just fabulous. Fantastic flavor. We also had the chicken Mole, which was very good, I was wishing for a little sour cream, but that isn't the style there. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and excellent. Didn't get a rumbling tummy after, which is always welcome. Will be back.“

“My wife and I have been there like five times. Today was special, the whole family were at the small dinning room waiting for customers. The whole family got up got chips for us got our drinks and just wanted for us to be comfortable. The food came fast, hot and smelling so fresh. I wished they had more customers they are a great family. Every time we go we have nenas enchiladas with no meat. Delicious 😋 😋. Don't let this small place fool you, the taste is huge and they love their customers.“

“We arrived in Santa Maria in the evening. We chose California Birrias Y tacos because it was next to our hotel and the rating was above 4.5.It's one of the best Mexican we've had. The portions are huge for us but it's so good that we ate almost everything.Delicious. You can go there with your eyes closed.“

“Tacos are great, I had the asada and pastor. The burritos are also great. The street parking outfornt is fine and there's a small lot for 4 cars. They also run a food truck as well. Order at the counter or at your table and the service was friendly and attentive.“

“Great little diner. Lots of selection on the menu for all tastes. My first time visiting and I tried the Santa Maria Tri-tip sandwich. The roll was grilled very crispy with lots of meat. Great wait til the next time I'm in the area and try something else from the menu.“

“Each time I visit the Santa Maria area for work. I make it a point to eat here. I asked for a recommendation for a great Mexican restaurant while visiting the local Lowe’s. Everyone said to come here. I’ve never been disappointed. Great food and service. I was last there in August 2025. They were preparing over 600 tacos for a party. Never missed a beat for the customers dining in. Definitely recommend going there“

“We came for the menudo which was absolutely delicious I only wish it had hominy but it's ok I understand not everyone adds that to the menudo. I also ordered the red chilaquiles with Asada and I was so pleased with the taste of everything. The only thing that would have made it even better was if the tortillas were freshly made.“

I explained to her that my bank will not let me cash my money out on Saturday and Sundays and that I had to pay my bills today and she helped me set up an account with them! Gracias Dora!???“

“BEST CHILAQUILES IN SANTA MARIA!!! Holy shit, I wasn't prepared for how bomb these were going to be. I was on a mission to find the best Chilaquiles in town and I found them! I got mine with chorizo and hashbrowns, the beans come with it. So tasty and good! A good crisp with freshly fried chips, not soggy at all like other places. Paired with some cafe de olla and it hit the spot. Plus, the have a MILITARY DISCOUNT!!! Always a plus in my book too.“

“Lunch Time and ordered over the phone. Chile Relleno Burrito is delicious. It is cheesy and filled with rice and beans. Side order of chips included . Only picked up and ready by the the time stated over the phone. Friendly staff and delicious food. Give Burritos Lalo a visit for delicious Mexican Food in Old Orcutt.“
