“I had the 3 combo. Cheese enchiladas with onions. Red sauces. Hard shell chicken taco and chili Verde burrito with red sauce. Amazing. Fresh. They make the food right in front of you. The chips and pico gallo was excellent. They serve hot beans and cheese with chips. This place is worth the drive. The best in santa maria area.“

“Driving back from Avila, we drove Highway 1, and we pass thru the town of Guadalupe, we stop close to a Market, and asked a resident couple were was the best place to eat? They recommended Nardo's for their great Menudo.
This family restaurant is a gem in Guadalupe: friendly service, home cooking taste, the portions were just right. I had Chilaquiles with Steak and 2 eggs, my wife had Menudo and delicious home made tortillas.
If you happen to drive thru Guadalupe, stop by this Restaurant, you will have an awesome meal.“

“Fantastic, clean, hole in the wall Mexican place. Had a chicken burrito, which was just fabulous. Fantastic flavor. We also had the chicken Mole, which was very good, I was wishing for a little sour cream, but that isn't the style there. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and excellent. Didn't get a rumbling tummy after, which is always welcome. Will be back.“

“We arrived in Santa Maria in the evening. We chose California Birrias Y tacos because it was next to our hotel and the rating was above 4.5.It's one of the best Mexican we've had. The portions are huge for us but it's so good that we ate almost everything.Delicious. You can go there with your eyes closed.“

“My husband and I honestly cannot eat tamales from anywhere else ever again… Every time we go anywhere else we are completely disappointed. I can’t believe that the prices haven’t gone through the roof like everybody else. They don’t seem to be skimping on the portions either. We moved away from Santa Maria and literally drive hours out of our way to buy a dozen or 2 whenever we go down in that direction. Just make sure you call ahead and order if you want the Chile/cheese tamales (which are the best in the universe) because they will be out otherwise.“

The place is nice, but its empty from the inside. Its somewhat quiet, so it's calm. The waiter was polite and gave us chips and salsa. She was really patient.
I ordered a quesadilla "herradero" which is pretty big and it has a wonderful taste. I feel like it was a reasonable price.
At the end the waiter gave us peppermints. :)“

It is focused on beef birria on weekends but make no mistake the catering of Mexican, Continental, and Mediterranean cuisine is excellent! 2-17-2024.

“First time getting breakfast burritos, they were huge. Although a little too much beans for a breakfast burrito… id get it again but without beans. My girl got the zarape and I got the ranchero with added bell peppers, onion, and tomatoes. What i thought was a little off was the bell peppers were like raw not kinda cooked/sautéed like what happens when you make a scramble. Both my girl and I kept having to add salt to our burritos because they were missing flavor, eggs could’ve used some sort of seasoning. Over all the burritos were like a 7.5/10.“

“The space is small but what I liked here is that it sells Oaxacan and Mexican food and for those who say it's the same it's not the food from Oaxaca it's not the same as that from Mexico a good place although it's in a place where it's not there is a lot of parking that's why only 4 stars battles to find a parking space“

this tiny, hole in the wall restaurant. They have the most fresh beans and great salsa. The food was so good that I was able to finish my entire plate lol which I rarely do. I had to order more since I wanted some for tomorrow. And the portions are huge!!!! Highly recommend for a quiet lunch or dinner. Great staff and drinks!! Fast friendly service with great food!!! Can’t wait to go back. Took my 90 year old father for lunch and he loved it too. And he hates everything lol!
