I’m from Pasadena and missing the delicious food and restaurants, so when I found Uliveto’s I was so happy! I’m hooked on the clams in a white wine and garlic sauce with pasta.
Dipping their delicious crunchy French bread in the sauce is divine! I came back a second time asking for their clams and it wasn’t on the menu, but the owner overheard my disappointment so asked the chef and they made them special for me.
Always a great and relaxing time.

Trattoria Uliveto & Bar is a cozy neighborhood spot offering delicious pasta, friendly service, and great vibes. It is a favorite for date nights and family gatherings. The staff is welcoming, with one server who has been there for 11 years, starting as a dishwasher, and knows the menu well. The restaurant has a full bar, and the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives came out perfectly. Portions are just right. The arugula salad with beets, goat cheese, and pistachios with balsamic vinaigrette was plentiful, and the crispy chicken Caesar had an awesome chicken breast. The short rib ravioli special with vodka sauce had a strange sweetness, and the pappardelle with sausage and mushrooms had good sauce but the sausage was just okay. However, both pastas were handmade with perfect texture. The lasagna was super yummy. The Fettucine Alfredo with spinach, sundried tomatoes, and garlic was delicious, and the seasonal pumpkin ravioli was smooth and well-seasoned. For dessert, the cannoli was absolutely the best ever, with one side crusted with chocolate chips and the other with pistachio, creamy filling, and a light, crispy shell. The creme brulee was grainy and eggy but still enjoyable. The restaurant is great for large parties, like a wedding rehearsal dinner, with easy planning and professional service. It is highly recommended, though it may be on the pricier side for some.
