Excellent Stay with Generous Amenities!
My stay at the Wine Stone Inn was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and the thoughtful touches throughout the property.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained—exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets this inn apart, though, are the extra perks. We loved the complimentary wine and snacks, which made our evenings even more enjoyable.
Additionally, the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, setting us up perfectly for a day of exploring.
I highly recommend the Wine Stone Inn to anyone looking for comfort, generosity, and great value. We can’t wait to come back!
Very cute boutique hotel in Old Orcutt. A little out of the way, but if you're up in northern Santa Barbara County / Santa Maria .
You can't go wrong with this little gem. Clean rooms, well equipped, free bottle of sparkling wine and snacks! Reasonable rates, free parking. Onsite bar and gathering spot with big screen TV, and faux fireplace. I'd stay again.
The staff is super friendly and offer great service. Rooms are nice & offers welcome gift!
Super cute hotel. Great attention to detail. Very clean and wonderful staff.
Great value for the cost. Parking is abundant, check-in is a breeze, and the complimentary snacks and bottle of sparkling wine is much appreciated.
The room itself is wonderful and thoughtfully furnished. Two comfortable bath robes are supplied along with a coffee pod machine. The extra quilt adorned across the foot of the bed is a nice touch. The mattress also has a full encasement to help prevent bed bugs. I didn't see an iron for clothes but there was a steamer. The shower is quite large and has good water pressure. The balcony faces towards some rolling hills where you can watch the cattle graze.
As for cleanliness the room was spotless save for some stains along the bathroom door.
The surrounding location has plenty of places for food and drink within walking distance. It's certainly a smaller and quieter town to stay in.
We reserved an ADA room (there are two) at Winestone Inn for a mid-week stay. Our second visit to this very nice hotel only lacked one thing; a step-in shower. I thought a room designated as an ADA room would have this amenity. Instead Room #1 had a tub/shower combo. There were plenty of grab bars. But no easy way to get in and out. (I do not know the configuration of Room #2). Also, I couldn't get the water to change from tub to shower. Of course, there is no one available after 9 pm to assist.
Oh, and I couldn't get the fan to turn off with the thermostat. Just annoying. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Thank you for the nice bottle of wine and continental breakfast!
Mostly came here to say the staff was so kind Dominic at the front desk was kind enough to give suggestions where to eat and was the sweetest! Will be back again
What an amazing experience! Came here for our first and Kaitlyn was so accommodating. We had a 12+ group and she was so great with us. She made sure we were all comfortable and was always making sure we were all doing well.
Nice facility in a quiet part of town. Friendly staff. Facility is well maintained with attention to small details. Comfortable beds, decent Continental breakfast, and the fresh fruit is the best. Only complaint was related to the remotes as they were not properly working and hard to navigate. Domick in the front desk was excellent. The view of the hills was beautiful.
If you're on chill vibes. This is definitely a spot for you 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Such a classy place.
Walls are paper thin, you Can hear everything. The toilet paper roll was far away for shorter people. It was a tub shower. They forgot to give us the bottle of wine ( but I called and they were kind enough to give it to my family that lived there) We were under the impression we’d get a hot breakfast, lukewarm water to heat up your instant oatmeal wasn’t what we expected. My aunt was very pleased with the pastry’s from SLO Mostly disappointed about the staff, Practically had to flag down someone to get any service and we were never properly greeted, we had to greet them.
The door and after hours with calling was annoying. Overall it’s ok. Not something to brag about.
Arrived Dec. 24 with no heat in the room. Front desk was not able to help. Still no heat the next evening, but by then we had acquired a space heater. The front desk wasn’t aware that we still had a problem with the heater. Sent email to management as per the front desk’s recommendation on the 26th. They had the problem fixed by the time we returned that evening. For some reason, they had set the heat the upper 80’s. We had to leave our door open for a while before going to sleep to try to cool down the room.
The room had no hand soap in the bathroom. The front desk put some in one of their shampoo bottles for us.
The shower controls are very difficult to get right. They seem to get stuck on all hot. Turning it down to cold and then slowly back up seems to be the trick.
Avoid room 12. It’s on the corner and you hear all the street noise and garbage trucks beeping (early in the morning).
I had to call the day after we checked out to get them to email me our folio. The reservations were made online, you’d think that’s what they were going to do since they didn’t offer to print one for us at check out.
The previous time we stayed here the wifi and TV was not working. The Wine Stone Inn is very conveniently located for our visits to this area. However, we’re going to have to explore other options for future visits.
