The vibe is great, the service is great. The place is pristine, they deserve all the stars. I got the pastrami and though I was a little disappointed with the size, I get it, times are expensive. My only feedback to them would be about their Chai. they use a concentrate which is fine, but it is too sweet and not strong enough. I would recommend going back to the drawing board to make it more potent and less sweet please. Feedback from an Indian lol

So far one of the best Cafe I have visited since 10 years being in California. The reviews attracted my attention to visit it. The nice thing before entering the cafe, was the outside area. A beautiful green court in front and lots of trees that makes the street more beautiful and cooler and of course plenty of free street parking.
I value service a lot, so My first expression was great, the barista was very energetic, respectful and kind enough to ask me right question to tailor the best type of coffee in terms of size, richness and sweetness of it with good suggestions. She also was kind enough to make a free good quality tea, because I said I am a tea person. By the way, The tea was out of this world.
The hot pastrami sandwich was made in timely manner and I liked it with my Mexican mocha coffee. Plus the delicious tea.
The price was reasonable and nothing different from similar cafe’s. Also it felt so good that she trust me as a customer, to start making my drink without asking for payment which made me feel valued customer although that was my first time there.
The cafe itself looks cozy, peaceful and clean with regular local customers and in fact the big outside green view visible from inside makes the place look bigger and much more nicer.
My suggestion is for people who appreciate peaceful place to drink coffee and enjoy the morning while reading or scrolling some post on social media or have a quick chat with their friend or partner.
Try it once and you will love it.

Got a smoothie and medium mint chip gelatto here. The lady who served me was super nice. She speaks Mandarin and we talked a bit about the history of the place. The atmosphere is very cute. Check it out if you’re ever in Orinda. Oh, and the gelatto and smoothie were very yummy.

Tasty sandwiches and amazing service. The woman who owns/runs Geppetto’s is super dedicated. Also has gluten free bread.
I’m really happy to find this place. Quiet, inexpensive, good food and coffee, super friendly owner, and decent wifi. I work remotely and like to get out of the house. This will be definitely my regular spot to do my morning emails and have breakfast.
