Peligrinni in Orinda is the friendliest and most beautiful restaurant I have ever been the pleasure to experience. The food is very tasty. I have had the Roasted Chicken, Chicken Parm, Lamb, Pasta w/Italian Sausage... more. The atmosphere is very loving and feels like you are coming home. DANIELLE (who has gone from host to bus-person to server to Bartender) is so friendly. Danielle is fabulous, fun, fascinating, beautiful and makes mouth watering drinks. My favorite being Danielles Cosmopolitan. Danielle always has on for your viewing the local NBA,NFL...teams games on the two tv’s above the bar. The entire staff is so friendly ?. Well decorated, spacious restaurant but that's the best of it. The waiter, maybe owner or manager, constantly tried to up-sale every order to the point where we almost felt guilty for not ordering more than just a main each; mains by the way that included the lasagna, beef steak, a large pizza and pasta. Guess what, even that was too much food as we took home 1/4 of it. When desert came around, another waiter offered the desert menu which we declined. Lo and behold the first waiter came back with the menus and didn't accept our "no thank you." He went directly to our kids to ask them if they wanted desert. Are you kidding?

Everything is $7 on the Happy Hour menu, included well drinks and wine. Nice assortment to share. We ordered the calamari, which was served hot, with two sauces. Our server was attentive and the martinis were great! Special attention was given to the young teenager with us, which was appreciated.

I Was just at this place tonite for a holiday mixer..nice ambience, friendly staff. Good food. Staff also seems to speak italian.-bonus. Grazie mille !
