Sadly, this restaurant is no longer in business. It's so sad and is greatly missed by all.
Wonderful home cooking. Locally owned business that provides really good food in abundance and friendly servers that will make you feel at home. Lots of regulars because we feel welcome the minute we walk through the door. Also, last stop on Hwy. 70 until Quincy. Check it out.
What an exciting place, wish I lived closer

This has proven to be one of the best tweaker hunting spots in the town although the food isn't very good anymore the service is pretty good there is a cook his name is Lee when he worked there it was great food I don't think he works there anymore also there was a man named von and he worked there is pretty good as well I don't think he works there either so hopefully one of those guys comes back and things will get better.

Great friendly service. Food comes to you hot, and prompt as possible. Unfortunately They are no longer open 24hrs.
Consistently awesome food and service. Think globally, shop locally.
We waited for 45 mins before our order was taken and another 45 mins before we got our food. The food was good but the service was horrible.
I'm so sad because the last time (~2+ years ago) I visited the Cornucopia, it was frickin amazingly delicious. I mean 5 star delicious. But sadly, this time around, they missed the mark seriously. Service-wise, everything rocked; could not be happier as far as the service goes. But the food-- 2 out of the 3 entrees we ordered-- were seriously lacking. So, like the last time I visited, I had the French dip sandwich again. The previous visit's sandwich was spectacular; I mean out of this world delicious. The roast beef was SO tender & flavorful, it left me wanting more. Sadly, yesterday's sandwich was as BAD as the previous one was good. The beef tasted very old & chewed like shoe leather (and looked about as appetizing).? I cannot believe this is the same place that made me the best French dip I ever had, not so long ago. I had to stop eating after like 3 bites, it was THAT BAD. Onion rings were decent-ish and the au jus was 'okay'. But I feel if the main event of a meal (the sandwich) is awful, the rest of it doesn't really matter-- ESPECIALLY when they all kinda go together.
My daughter ordered the fried chicken with coleslaw. The pros: the chicken legs were good sized & seemed tender. Cornbread on the side was tasty and warm. The cons: SO salty, could not taste much of anything else & when bit into, the oil just dribbled out, flooding our mouths with salty greasy mess. The coleslaw was described to me as "tasting like leaves and inedible" by someone who adores most slaws.
My other daughter got the waffle which was fluffy but crisp on the outside and quite delicious. Granted, she ruined it with syrup AND choco chips but luckily I had a taste before that lol
We shared the strawberry shortcake and it was quite a sight to behold. It was, for the most part, made like true shortcake is meant to be made (just like days gone by...); with a shortcake biscuit instead of regular plain cake and with real strawberries in their own syrup and both components really stood out to me as top notch (esp. the biscuit/cake part that SO many fail to execute properly, so props to the baker on that one!).That's where the good part ends though because in the middle of the strawberries, shortcake & whipped cream, they had a scoop of extremely sweet & sticky vanilla ice cream. Not sure if it was sticky or gooey because perhaps it was homemade (I was trying to convince myself this was the case) or just...old (which is what it was truly giving). The addition of the ice cream made the whole dessert WAY too sweet so we could only manage eating like 3 small bites each. I've never known strawberry shortcake to have ice cream so it would have been nice if they would have put that in the description on the menu so unsuspecting folks like us can choose to forgo it.
Just a few other things: they were all out of pie, but as it was Mother's Day, it wasn't a huge surprise. I would think however that knowing it's such a big holiday where the masses want pie, they could anticipate this and adjust their stock accordingly (read: bake more pies in advance to prepare for the higher customer volume). I might be wrong about how that works however and as such this wasn't factored into my low rating.
I hope this was just an 'off' day for the beloved Cornucopia and pray that next time will be more like my prior visit, not so long ago. I believe in them and will give another try because even before my aforementioned prior visit, I had eaten here a few other times and way back then (~9-10 years ago), I recall the food being very delicious for our whole fam (6 people). Crossing my fingers❤
Great service, as per usual, with night staffing
